I think the opposite. Trump lingering in ill health until January is what I’m hoping for. If he’s quite ill, but remains in office and remains on the ticket, it keeps his stupidity and mishandling of COVID front and center, and it keeps the Republican campaign and strategy in uncertainty and disarray with nowhere really to go.
