What kind of moron pays for an ad to ask a question like that?
Dude, what does mine say?
Exactly. They’re the ones paying us in order to insult us.
And nobody who has a custom title is seeing the ad. Oh well.
Will title changes behave the same as username changes for old posts, or will they persistent with the post? What I mean is - if I make a post and my title at the time is “Vegemite Hoarder”, but I later change my title to something else, like “Death from the Side”, will the original post have the old title or the new title?
And yes, I’m asking this because of the opportunities involved in changing the title to make it more post-appropriate, or post-humorous.
Like your user name, post count, location, and subscription status, your current custom title will show up on all of your posts. So if you change it to “Vegemite Hoarder” now, people will see that on every post you’ve made here. If you change it to “Death from the Side,” that will show up on on all of your posts.
Bump
But guests do have access to a custom title, for a fee. The fee for them includes the annual fee to become a member.
Giles, what does that say?
ETA: Oh, it’s geek!
As Giles said, all you need to do is become a member, then you can get a custom title.
Well I did it because I needed to show that I was a usenet nerd once. But I think that most folk aren’t as drunk as me, and allowing this to guests may be a good idea, honestly Ed, I do
Well, we’ll prey on some other weakness then. Seriously, glad to have you aboard.
You ain’t just whistlin’ the theme from “Najica-Blitz Tactics”, partner.
If I were on the SD staff, I would use either “Graphite” or “Deuterium Oxide” (“heavy water”) on the grounds that they’ve been scientifically demonstrated to be excellent moderators.
On other boards, puns this [del]good[/del] bad would have caused a chain reaction amongst the posters.
This is more fun than I thought it would be . . . and I thought it would be fun.
Yes, it’s amazing what we can be amused by!
Yes. Yes it is.
Although I’m not nearly as funny as I thought I was before I shelled out the dough.
It does go well with your username though.
I keed. I keed.
