Customer Service by Email, What?

A companion threat to:
Is This That Uncommon?

After resolving some service issues with a real live customer service rep. and signing up for auto demand payment from bank account I begin getting a monthly email.
I am invited to pay my bill on line. What? Pay my bill on line? Why? Why ask? I’m already signed up.

An email to Cust. Service generates a robot reply that they have received my inquiry and will respond the next day (or 2 or 3). The realr eply is “Boiler Plate” paragraphs, to effect they are sorry and will correct it etc. etc. with lots of BS.

I reply to their email suggesting that the author of the reply get a copy of: "Your Call Is Important to Us: The Truth About Bullshit – by Laura Penny. That he read it and recommend that the supevisors and management get a copy read it and make it reequired reading for all service reps. This generated another robot reply. It will be interesting to see what and when the next reply arrives.
