I like Skeelers, I think it’s a cool name for any pet. It’s a Dutch word for inline skates.
Zooborns is my stress relief site.
Bad meeting…zooborns. Over budget…zooborns. Stupid request…zooborns.
Its hard to be too upset when a baby giraffe is making cows eyes at the camera.
I was saving the snow leopards for later, but they are ridiculously cute, now that I’ve given in to temptation.
And I want more pics from the OP, too. Kittens change so quickly at that age.
I think I’m going to need more photos if I’m going to come up with any more names.
Really, this is how I look, every time I look at those kitties:
Maybe she just likes some of her kids better than others! It could happen! Years ago, I failed to get one of my cats spayed (I had no money! and she was never allowed outside! Ever! …okay (sigh), sorry - my bad!) and she ended up pregnant and gave birth to the five cutest kittens in the world. Four boys, one girl. I called them Marco, Leo, Indigo, Jabba (he was fat!) and Crystal.
Thing is, she never seemed to be overly concerned with any of them except Leo. She doted on Leo. When the kits got big enough that we could take them out of their nest and bring them into the living room for our entertainment, mama would come looking for Leo. She would stand and cry that ‘momma calling babies’ cry and they would all come running. If Leo was the first to come running, she was done. She would take him back to the nest and we wouldn’t hear from her again. If any of the others came, she would simply ignore them until Leo responded. Then she would pick him up, take him back to the nest - and the rest were on their own!
She always liked him best…

Awww, that’s sad!
Need new pictures of itty bitty kitties, plz thanks.
Some more kitty pictures. It’s near impossible to get them to hold still while facing the camera. The mother cat keeps getting up to be petted and crashes into the camera. I watched her today as a kitten escaped. She went over, picked it up, carried it into the cat condo and stayed in there with it until I brought them both back out.
I’m starting to get rather attached to them. I have a feeling this batch will be hard to say goodbye to.
Those high-pitched squeeing sounds you just from Idaho? Sorry about that. They’re just waaaaay toooooo cute!
After careful inspection, I’m gonna say yes, they’re still cute, but we’ll need more pics pretty soon now. Just to make sure they stay cute. And the tiny open mouth just kills me. I love the way that their ears have changed, just in this short time. And I want to hold them next to my cheek and nuzzle them.
Those aren’t cats. They’re loraxes.
I love the way tiny kittens smell, way better than puppy breath
They are SO cute! Damn, now I want a kitten, I have 9 cats already but somehow it isn’t enough
AWWWWWW!!! They are all adorable. Poor Taffy looks completely worn out.
I had a mama and 6 kittens for a week. Poor mama was just a kitten herself, but they are all fixed and at adoptions as I type. The nice thing about fostering is that I get my kitten fix, then they go away and I get to sleep at night again.
You are an amazing person. Thank you so much for what you are doing for cats today and for how you are raising your children. Parents like you make the future seem brighter.
They speak for the squees?

I’m not trying to be falsely modest here. What you do for cats is amazing. I just play with cute kittens.
Grumbles about nested quotes, because the big one didn’t show up in your post. needscoffee, not only are you fostering homeless cats, you are teaching your children kindness and compassion. Your kids will grow up thinking that volunteering and helping is just something they should do. Your kids will make the world better and its because you are showing them by example. I don’t have the words to say how much I admire you.
In other news…I got bit by a little barky dog today. The stupid thing was running around in traffic so I bailed off my bike and chased her around and under a SUV. Thank gawd the driver didn’t run idiot dog over. When I got my hands on her, she tried to bite me, but I was still wearing gloves. I stuffed her in a friend’s trunk and she went for a motorcycle ride. We took her to the vet and she was all nice and wagging tail while I carried her in. She did pee a little on my leg while I was holding her in the waiting room, but that’s OK. Pee washes. After the vet was done with her, no collar, no chip, no ID, I went to pick her up and she bit me.
Makes vow to stick with feral cats from now on. At least I know what they will do.
Take good care of your kittehs! Make sure that they don’t get into any bad habits!
squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
