On Wednesday night, one yellow kitten’s eyes were opening. I won’t see them again until Sunday night. I hope they surprise me!
It’s a lot of fun when their eyes open. They will follow any movement with their whole heads, and sometimes you can get the whole litter to bob and weave their heads in synchronism.

That is the very best part! The bobbing and head weaving. I needs more pics as well.
My favorite is the stage where they start to attack something but don’t know how to complete the maneuver. So they wind up stopping in mid-pounce; usually they kind of turn sideways when the front half stops more quickly than the back.

The lack of new pix means the kittens were visited by the Malevolent Fairy with the Ugly wand.
(No, I don’t really think that, but maybe the insult will drive her to defend the adorableness of the litter.)
Okay, okay, new pics! I was out of town!
I took 40 photos, and only these were not blurry. I can’t use the flash because of their new eyeballs, and they refuse to hold still long enough for a no-flash photo. I’ll keep trying. Chewie only has one eye open, but the calico and two of the oranges have both eyes open. One orange has no eyes open. Chewie had both eyes open yesterday, but one is back to being closed. The shelter says that’s normal. None can walk yet.
We need more names.

Pic #4 is hilarious. It’s like kitty is trying to swim in mid-air. They’re all darling, though. ::sigh::
Baby kitty yawn!!!
Are they walking yet? It’s hilarious when they are able to leave the nest, and momcat isn’t ready for them to leave. They all start walking at about the same day, wobbling on their tiny legs, heading out to see what the world has to offer them.
That there is a huge dose of cuteness. Seriously.

Awwwwwww, itty bitty kitties!
My daughter wiped the kitten with the unopened eyes’ eyelids with a wet cloth today to unstick them, and, happily, now they’re opened. They still can’t walk or do anything more than drag themselves around, zombie-like.
