Cute Shoe Thread

I’m going to start stalking LVgeogeek, if she has Prada and Fendi leaping out at her at ridiculous prices!

Tremorviolet, I like the red shoes but the banana-heel numbers really caught my eye. I haven’t seen a heel like that on anyone around here!

Want-want-want

All you ladies who want to buy red shoes and won’t? Buy yourself a long red skirt. Nothing looks as good with long red skirts as red shoes! I have a long red skirt, and so have allowed myself to buy a pair of red patent peep-toe low-heeled shoes and a pair of red patent strappy-sandals to wear with it.

I paid $75 for the Prada shoes at the consignment store

Tremorviolet, where in Vegas did you get those banana-heel shoes… eeeee I love them!!

Niemans. And I actually paid full price which was an ungodly amount of money which I will never, ever disclose on this board lest y’all completely lose any respect for me and my financial pecadillos. But I luuuuurve them. And they’re actually pretty easy to walk in 'cause the platform is so chunky. I can only wear the burgundy shoes for about four hours of standing, they crank my big toe over at a weird angle (but they’re so pretty it’s worth it).

To the OP, I’ve got these pink glitter pumps (the ones on the right) which are the exact same style as yours red plaid tartans. I love pumps and bows.

Heh. I have a few purchases about which I feel the same way.

This thread is terrible. I’m going to have to go shoe shopping over the weekend.

I wanted a pair of these, but apparently they’ve just been discontinued. I’m going to scour all the internet shoe sites to see if I can find someone with my size still in stock.

robot arm: Have you tried the John Fluevog store online? They seem to have similar styles and I know they had that style in the past.

I’m going to try and show my latest shoe purchases. I love buying shoes so I have a lot of them, for no reason, just because they make an outfit.

OMG. Those are fabulous!

Must. Have. Pink. Glitter… asjdofsauidbfdh.

twitch twitch

Alas, they are better admired on the shelf than worn. The glitter material cuts into your foot in an awful way (which I didn’t discover until after I went to great lengths to obtain a money order in pounds sterling to have them shipped over from England). They remind me of Steve Martin’s short story Cruel Shoes.

Urrgh. I own a pair of cruel shoes. Very pretty, but oh so mean! I lasted about 2 hours in them (worn to a wedding), and I made my mom switch with me. Luckily we were wearing colours that went well with both pairs of shoes. In fact, the shoes she was wearing were my wedding shoes! I went 12 solid hours in those, standing and dancing for most of it, and didn’t have the tiniest little blister.

Anyways… I’m another person who loves shoes, but can’t buy them because I don’t have a thing to wear with any of them. I have no idea what looks good with anything, despite constantly looking at other people to see what works for them (I mean, I’m in MONTREAL! Everyone looks good here… except me!) Not that I have the budget for new clothes right now. Next time I have money to go shopping, I’m calling up my cousin and getting a makeover!

For fifty cents I was able to purchase these ruby slippers at a garage sale. They shed glitter everywhere when I wear them, but maybe that’s part of the magic.

Those pink glitter platforms have inspired a wanting in me that will not be slaked. At least, not until Sunday when I go buy something similar. They are freaking fabulous.

tremorviolet, please tell me that you’re a size 9, 9 1/2, or 10, and that you will soon amend your will to leave me your shoe collection. Not that I want you to die, just saying.

All of my heels are cruel shoes. I don’t know what my problem is- I don’t have high blood pressure or heart problems, but my toes swell up like little sausages when I wear heels, and it’s quite uncomfortable. Silly to keep wearing them, I know, but I just can’t help myself. I’m addicted to cute shoes.

I found my red shoes!

Here they are!

Now I just need to wait for the damn wedding.

Those are adorable.

Well, if you really want a pair of the pink shoes (being forewarned of the difficulty wearing them), a pair is gonna pop up on ebay real soon. In a size 40 which is a US10. I had to special order the pink shoes from England, couldn’t use a credit card because of website issues, had to go to incredible lengths to track down a source for money orders in pounds sterling, and so I ordered two pairs to make absolutely I had the right size. The 39s fit so I’ve been meaning to sell the 40s for like a year and the slob reform club inspired me to finally get around to it…

I’m actually referring to the ones on the left in your picture. I like the ones on the right, too, but the ones on the left just sing to me.

ETA: It does look like we’re about the same size… so, about that will thing? :stuck_out_tongue:

It does look like those are much more wearable. Here’s at the pink glitter shoes I’m currently lusting after. A bit out of my price range at present tho’.

swoon

Those are really cute. I mean REALLY.

I hesitated to post in this thread because one thing I will and do spend $$ on are my shoes. So I have no great bargains to share, but I can share the shoes I got with my Cole Haan gift certificate:

Adorable!

They are even cuter in person than in the online picture. I wasn’t sure about buying and wearing such high heels but I have to say that Nike technology really is all that. As a coworker said to me, “If you found a pair of four inch pumps that are comfortable, why wouldn’t you keep them?” Point taken!
