Anyone else see the premiere?
Got a few things going for it… Rockne O’Bannon and Robert Knepper.
I think it has a shot… Everyone loves a conspiracy theory.
We, I, was intrigued almost instantly, Robert Knepper’s Billy Grimm is scary hypnotic but then when isn’t Knepper seducing us as he freaks us out.
I saw the first episode of Cult last week and thought it was all right. A little hard to follow at times however. I’ll probably watch again.
As long as it doesn’t get as disturbing as The Following, that is. Man, what they were doing with that kid gave me the creeps! And I don’t generally “creep out” easily. Sheesh.
It was better than I’d expected from the commercials, but still not particularly great. Has potential. May continue watching via On Demand, but I don’t think I’ll bother DVR’ing it.
I didn’t even give it a shot, solely because it has Knepper as a cult leader. I picture cult leaders as people who inspire the gullible to trust them while having a hidden dark side, not someone who looks like a serial killer.
Looks like it’s a goner. After two tuesdays of disasterously low ratings (low even for CW) they’ve decided to dump the remaining episodes on fridays after Nikita (where they usually just show reruns of other shows from the week, which will now move to the tuesday slot)
