Neither of them can hit anything they shoot at.
I guess if the Cylons made an effort to close for hand to hand they’d rip the stormtroopers apart, but hey, they aren’t called “toasters” for nothing.
Which cylons, current or original?
Put Worf into the mix and you’ll have a huge load of spent ammo with nothing but ground, trees, or consoles hit, and those will still be mostly salvageable.
Now, put Dennis the Menace in there with a sling shot and suddenly a six year old boy will be worshipped as Emperor of the Galaxy. Because the kid’s got good aim.
Of course, Sherrif Bart ‘Bat’ Campbell would wipe the floor with him. But, he would turn invisible as soon as anything reawakened his psychosis.

Current, although we will have a special contest with the original Cylons and the Minions of Ming the Merciless.

I’m going to go with the Centurians, since as I remember, they actually have hit a few people they were presumably aiming at.
I don’t recall a Stormtrooper hitting anyone of consequence. Ever.
I think they shot Princess Leia’s hair once. Oh, no, no that was Space Balls. Sorry.
Who wins? Whoever gets paid to recharge the blasters and the repairmen for all of the wrecked scenery. That’s who wins.
Current Cylons vs. Stormtroopers. No Contest. Cylons would eat them alive.
However, classic cylons vs. Stromtroopers would be quite amusing.
I bet you could pit the Clone troopers(particulary the ARC troopers) vs. new cylons and make an interesting battle of it.
Stormtroopers win, if the battle is against the old Cylons. None of those cylons had the Hero Shield ™ effect going on.
They wiped out the Jedi. Shot them in the back, of course, but they DID hit their backs.
Those were the early clones. Replicative failure has degenerated the StormTroopers by Luke’s day. “Hi, Steve! Did you bring me a monkey? She touched my pepe.”
Stormtroopers did actually shoot Princess Leia in the arm during the Battle of Endor. And they wasted some Jawas offscreen. And the Rebels suffered many casualties on Hoth, but most of that seemed to have been from AT-ATs, with at least one friendly fire incident.
Those were clone troopers, who were arguably much better then the Stormtroopers of the first trilogy.
Actually, I don’t think the stormtroopers were clones.
1.) They have dismal combat performance compared to the clones in AOTC and ROTS.
2.) The Stormtroopers have different voices, and none of them resemble Jango Fett.
They also lost the Battle of Endor to a bunch of teddy bears carrying stone age weapons.
They had one job on Endor: To keep the shield bunker intact, and they failed miserably at it. Instead, they go running off into the woods so the teddy bears can hit them with their “clearly disguised” traps.
But then again, you could blame the officers for the abomination that was the Endor Ground battle.
Well, HPL, they did manage to actually shoot some of those teddy bears as they were being overcome by vastly inferior technology! Apparently, the stormtroopers’ weapon of choice on Endor was the much-feared pathos ray.
Cylons vs Terminators
Much more interesting.
Cylons infect Skynet with a virus, Cylons win.
Well, maybe by that point in time they had different makes and models.
