Yes, folks, it finally happened. Yours Truly got to prove his existence to other Dopers, namely SqrlCub and DCNewsMan. We’uns grabbed a bite to eat and chatted for the better part of an hour, but hey, it was quality time!

Being the lousy conversationalist and hard-of-hearing knucklehead that I am, I’m sure the other two thought I didn’t want to be there. Quite the opposite. :smiley:

So anyway, now that I got that under my belt, I’ll have to work on getting to one of the bigger fests when they come around.

Oh, and don’t believe SqrlCub when he says I think the BBQ Pit is scary. He lies like a bad toupee. :stuck_out_tongue:

Soupy, no pictures were taken as carrying a camera to work is a hassle. Did I say anything about you being scared of the Pit, Olentzero? Not yet. hehehe. I tried writing it down already but every idea I had just sounded mean so I abstained. It was nice to have lunch with another Doper out there. Maybe we can get PL and Peta in on the act sometime in the future as the Courthouse (where Phil works)is also pretty close. I think Peta works a little farther out.

Ya shun’t’a worried about it, Sqrl. I would have known you were joking and taken it as such. Definitely we should get Phil and Peta in on a lunch sometime. If he won’t fight me on the Metro tracks over whose political beliefs are superior, it’ll have to be plastic knives at 3 paces. :wink:

Peta’s all the way out in Fairfax, but I am literally on top of the Courthouse Metro stop, so I can easily get to McPherson or DuPont, or even Federal Triangle. I know from experience that Sqrl and DC are great dining partners. Anytime you guys want to lunch, let me know!

Phil, I was at the Courthouse stop at a training given by Information Builders. woo… It was interesting enough to keep me awake but that was about it.

Well, hmph, I work between the Dupont and Farragut North metros, and can do lunch just about any day of the week.

Hey! If you all do lunch on a Thursday or Friday, I am off of work. It would be very easy for me to catch the metro to DC from Alexandria. I can’t do it next week, I will have company, but anytime after that and I would love to meet some of you. :smiley:
