Friday is out, Zette will be gone.
We’re away on Saturday (previous engagement) but I’ll watch the thread and see if we can make it sometime.
I’d love to meet Zette. She’s a crush waiting to happen.

I thought I remembered that all the restaurants in the American Cafe chain had closed years ago. I know that the ones I went to had closed. I just checked an online phone directory. There are a few American Cafes left. The one in Springfield Mall is now called Mozzarellas - The American Cafe. In any case, I can’t make this event.
Now, now- I don’t t think THAT’S entirely fair! I’ll be there, I promise! Please come, everyone!!!

American Cafe may have changed its name, but so far as I know, the Ruby Tuesday’s is still there. They closed the one at Fair Oaks Mall last month.

Let’s make it Bennigan’s. It’s on the Loisdale Drive side of the mall. (Don’t be fooled by yahoo! maps which indicates that Bennigan’s is on the south side of the mall. It’s on the west side, closest to Rt95)
I’ve made a reservation for the Cecil Adams party of 12 at 7pm on Tuesday.
Please let me know who’s coming, so I can fine tune the head count. (Not that our heads aren’t already finely tuned!)
I think you’ve got the simplest drive of all: Take the Fairfax County Parkway which turns into Franconia/Springfield Parkway, and take the Frontier Drive exit. A left onto Spring Mall Drive will get you over to the west side of the mall.

I would love to attend and meet Zette and the other DC Dopers I’ve never met, but that’s a fair trip for me on a weeknight from Richmond, and since I’m dealing with a sad situation with two of my cats (posted another thread about it), I’d really prefer to be at home with them tomorrow night.
