Best wishes to you and your family, matt. Unexplained headaches or speech impediments are bloody scary. My mother was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour in early 2002, but after some grisly surgery and a few months recovery she was pretty much back to normal.

I hope whatever’s ailing your father is something that can be treated by antibiotics, but if it is a tumour (and I’m sure you’re dwelling on that possibility - that was the first thing I thought of when my mom was complaining of constant headaches), well, modern medical procedures can be pretty impressive sometimes. Keep up hope.

Good vibes heading your way, Matt. Hope all goes well. You may want to look into fMRI (functional MRI). It maps brain function and might detect slight damage from a very minor stroke.
