Dada vandals strike again

Many, many years ago, I read a dystopian sci-fi book that was completely forgettable, except for one aside – the author mentioned a group of Dada vandals that broke into someone’s car and installed a stereo.

This has always struck me as way too cool.

Sounds like this guy came up with his idea independently, but it seems like a similar sort of prank.

I’ve been thinking about trying to pull this same thing off here at work.

There is artwork on the walls all throughout our complex, some very good, some utter crap. I’ve toyed with the idea of sneaking a poster-size printout of something like this onto one of the walls. Since we’re a very computer-centric company, I’m sure it would inspire a few questions.

The only stumbling block is the fact that all the art here has an engraved metal title card mounted nearby. Still need to figure some sort of substitute for that.

As an aside, I’d happy to support the Dadaistic arts if it involves someone giving me a new car stereo.
