Damn electric company, damn DVR! Sopranos!

I’ve been waiting and waiting for the damn finale. I had the DVR set and ready for the Sopranos, so when the electricity went out around 6,I wasn’t worried.

A phone call to Xcel, estimated the electric to be restored by 8 , I shrug and think to myself “Self, no big deal, so you watch it an hour later.”

HAH! Apparently, when the electric is out for so long, the satellite must reset, so when the electricity came back on early at about 7:50, guess what the DVR recorded? The last few minutes, that’s what!!

I’ll watch tomorrow, but please, please, please…somebody assure me the part I missed is worth the very inexplicible 12 minutes I did see.

Thanks!

Ack. I think what happened is the DVR tried to record something from near the beginning, I really have no clue.

Tony is talking to Paulie about something Paulie obviously would rather not do, then AJ is yakking to someone about not having an SUV. Tony goes to see Jun. Carmella meets Tony for dinner at Holsteins(?), AJ joins them. Meadow cannot parallel park, but finally does and trots across the street.

All goes black then and after a few seconds, it goes to credits.

Is this the ending, the beginning or the middle? What the heck did I watch? :dubious:

Oh boy. Do you really want to know? Or would you rather watch it on-demand tomorrow.

The ‘Oh boy’ said it all. I’ll wait till tomorrow, but if you would be so kind…what part did I see? Towards the beginning or the end?

Thanks so much!

You don’t even want to know that.

Trust me; you don’t.

This is the end. My only friend, the end.

There’s a big discussion about it over in the Sopranos thread.

But you don’t want to join that discussion until after you’ve seen it!

Oh trust me, I DVRed the late one last night and got up early so I could watch it before I went to work.

That eliminated the WTF? thing I had going on last night. Thanks to all, now off I go to look at the RIP stuff.

I had to shut the 'puter down last night so I wasn’t tempted.

Thanks again,
T

Sure thing!
