Damn rain!

I would if I could, I hope it does rain there soon… :frowning: Seems like it’s “feast or famine” with the weather in this country this season. I know it probably isn’t overall, that many states are about average.

Damn, it looks like a lot of folks are getting flooded out. :frowning: Not to mention the oil spill.

We were like that last year, Ogre. I wish we could send ya some of this rain.

The house I’m living in (circa 1930) had all kinds of settling problems last year due to the drought. Doors quit working, windows sticking, etc. Got most of those fixed over the winter.

Now everything is swollen from the humidity - doors won’t close, windows stick, etc. Ya can’t win for losing.

Why are you guys hogging our rain? Here in T.O., it’s been dry, dry, dry. Oh, we;ve had the occaisional thunderstorm, but the grass is already that crunchy golden brown that’s only supposed to happen at the end of Juny.

Mind you, it’s been the most beautiful summer weather I can remember for years; only a couple of days have been our typical summer heat and humidity from the south; the rest have been low humidity, cool at night and warm during the day, perfect sleeping weather.

The trees are still green, but a few more weeks and they’ll start to be stressed and then the leaves will get all crinkly around the edges like they did two summers ago.

More rain today and everyday until maybe the weekend. About half the area fireworks have been rescheduled from the 4th. All the local lakes are closed for at least two weeks. I think we’ve exceeded the yearly average for rainfall last week. Sigh.

I’ve heard stories about that ghastly summer heat and humidity in southern Ontario. I’m sure Texans can relate. :dubious:
