Damn, snow in the forecast for DC area!

Oopsie, I seem to have misinterpreted your post as hostile. Please forgive me; the scarves are blocking blood flow to my brain.

You lot complaining about the weather again?

Why not move somewhere where it doesn’t snow?

Easy really.

matt, you might want to actually read people’s posts before jumping on their asses.

Falcon and OESGal weren’t complaining about the weather in and of itself; they were complaining that it would keep the planes from flying - in Falcon’s case, stranding her with parents she can’t take another minute of, and in OESGal’s case, her BF is flying from CA to TN, and she’s flying to meet him there.

I’ll bet snowstorms keep the planes grounded in Winnipeg too, on occasion. Geez.

At any rate, it looks like we have a happy ending for Falc and OESGal: it’s a bright, clear, snow-free day in the greater DC area. The storm’s track stayed to the east of the Chesapeake Bay, Falc’s parents can get back to Memphis, and all is well with the world.

Nope, RT. The &^E#$(&# BASTARDS at Northwest cancelled ALL flights from National to Memphis. My parents leave tomorrow at 6 in the morning.

I hate weathercasters, I hate snow, I hate Northwest. sigh

WTF? Falc, I’m sorry, hon. I got up and looked out the window-nothing. I swear my first thought was “Oh, good, Falc’s parent’s will be able to go home”. And now you’re saying the airport was closed?? Why? Did they actually get at lot of snow at National? Cuz we got nothing here…and I mean not a flake…Which…FTR, sucks. :frowning:

Where the fuck is the snow?!?!?!?!

We might get flurries now? Bah!

I remember one time we telephoned my grandmamma in California, who complained to us, “It was so cold last night, the birdbath froze over!”

Of course, we were in Winnipeg at the time, in a blizzard. In April. So we weren’t as sympathetic as we might have been.

By the way, have you ever noticed how some weather maps give Canadian temperatures in Celsius and American temperatures in Fahrenheit, without mentioning this fact? I can just imagine some guys going, “Whoah, Detroit 32, Windsor 0… guess that’s how they figger’d out where to put the border, huh?”

Well, OESGAL, you gots what you wanted. No snow. I personally was not hoping for snow inasmuch as much snow would mean I can’t drive to Falc’s place tomorrow.

So yay for no snow!

Grumble.

That’s it… I’m forced to pout now.

Yeah, me too. If I’m going to be stuck home being sick on a long holiday weekend, surrounded by drugs and food and tissues, I better be snowed-in so I at least have something pretty to look at outside the window.
