Bill Nye may be out with an injury. That would be an obvious face-saver for him, since he’s not turning out to be much of a dancer.

Also, with his huge fan base, he would likely have stayed in longer than someone else actually improving their dancing. I feel the same way about Valerie. Don’t let that fan base crowd out a learning dancer.
That being said, I am part of his fan base.

Glad they stopped Bill Nye.
Bill E, OTOH. I was dismayed at the music choice (really? William Tell Overture Paso?) but then he started pulling it off. He’s staying my favorite.
The music choices this year have been over-the-top odd. Beyonce for a quick step?
Glad Bill Nye was allowed a semi-graceful end. Valarie Harper is next.
The ridiculous music has pretty much ruined the show for me. I fast forward thru the dances with that crap.
Heres a recap of all the dances. Leah and Tony’s Rumba was good. I liked Liz and Val’s Foxtrot too.
I don’t remember another time there was an elimination at the end of a Monday show. Did they do that just to get rid of Nye?
No, that’s just the way they’re doing it this season. Last week (Monday) the football player Keyshawn Johnson got the boot.
There is no Tuesday show anymore. Viewer votes go toward the next week’s elimination, which happens at the end of that show.
Bill Nye is only 57. Is it me, or does he look way older than that?

Edit: Reply to twickster.
Oh, OK. I get it now. Thanks.
I’m tired of Elizabeth and Val getting underscored. Len’s been scoring them correctly but the other two :smack: after voting for them I switched to the Voice They get Argentine Tango next week and I’ll like it but the judges will hate it. No Len next week so she won’t get a decent score. If they go home I’m parking Monday night on the Voice permanently.
Yeah, he looks about 10 to 15 years older.
Mercy killing last night.Valerie’s smile after her name was announced tells me she knew it was her turn.

Thank god they let that poor woman go home.
My nominee for this season’s person I didn’t expect to like as much as I do: Bill E, who I guess is just Bill at this point.
I’m not entirely invested in the season yet – am either working while watching or missing the show completely – so I don’t know who everyone is, but that young black woman? Who the hell is doing her makeup? Her face was a completely different color from her arms. She looked like a pumpkinhead.
Twickster - I wish they’d tone down the colored lights somewhat. Normally the color saturation on my TV is just right, but at the beginning of Amber’s dance she was a radiating red blob.

I’m surprised fans didn’t support Valerie longer. She seemed so happy out there dancing and just living for the moment. Two dances a week would have been too much work for her. I’m glad she won’t be on the show for that.
I’ve been watching Leah and Tony slowly improve week by week. She was so nervous in week 1 and almost petrified. This is the first time I’ve seen her begin to relax and even smile. She’s still very tentative and careful dancing. She has to get more confidant to stay on the show much longer.
I’ve been surprised that Christina and Elizabeth are middle of the pack. Thought they’d be drawing tens all season. The judges have been very critical of them.
I loved the Argentine Tango last evening, no lifts, but great concept, great dancing. Elizabeth and Val are finally emerging.
It seems with this new method of doing things (my wife wonders if they dropped the results show due to poor ratings) the worse dancers are going out first.
And watching Elizabeth and Val. Damn it looked like they wanted to kiss on the lips. Every time she went for his cheek it look liked they were about to kiss and then she realized she was on TV.
Does this mean that Val and whatsherface aren’t an item anymore?
