Not only is a half hour ridiculous - but you can’t even vote online on the west coast after 9:30am.
Last night was all popularity - the judges’ scores were all 8s and 9s, so there was no difference between the top and bottom scorer. Who stayed and who went was entirely up to the audience. Sara’s fans have got to stop. She cannot dance. Jerry at least had the decency to be shocked that he was still around. She just sucks and doesn’t seem to know it.
The judges need to give 5s and 4s and 3s if necessary so that their votes actually mean something. Otherwise, make it all call in if everyone’s going to get an 8 for putting the costume on forward.
Looks like Sara Evans is quitting the show. Granted, she should have been out two weeks ago, but now it’s official. She and her husband are divorcing, and Sara says she wants to be with her kids. Apparently she feels some news about her husband is about to come to light that isn’t going to be too pretty.
Do you think they’ll bring Willa back to fill the vacancy? (Please oh please oh please…)

It sounds nasty, but I hope the part about her quitting the show is true. And I would like to see Willa come back if Sarah goes.
I live in Nashville. It was headline news here this morning actually. I’ll keep you posted if I hear anything else. My wife says she has more Sara Evans info to give me after work.
What the heck happens now in the competition? Seems to me if Willa/Max don’t get re-instated, and if the normal weekly competition goes a head with Sara having dropped out, the whole thing ends a week early, doesn’t it?
I have no idea what will happen, but I can tell you what won’t. ABC sure as hell won’t let this cash cow end a week early. We’ll have to see next Tuesday I guess.
If they bring back Willa and Max it might not be quite fair to them since they haven’t had as much time to learn the two dances, unless they knew this was likely going to happen a few days ago and told them to keep on practicing, just in case.
Not only can you vote online, you can vote during the show. I’d been giving Willa a chunk of my votes before I even saw the dances, once I saw how unfairly the audience was rating her.
I don’t blame her. Why bust your butt learning the dance and dancing well when it doesn’t count for doodoo in whether you stay or go. I’m sure she figured she’d just get voted off again on the next show.
Poor Jerry has been begging to be let go for weeks now. I think it really is too much for him. I think his fans are misguided in their attempt to keep him on, when he really wants to leave. Even when he insults them (“All my fans are in priso”) they keep voting.
Emmitt did a pretty good Jive. I think he’s just too big to move as fast as the Jive requires. He does move well and he seems to enjoy it.
Joey is impressing me less and less. He has the moves, but he doesn’t seem to connect to his partner or the audience. He’s a wind-up doll.
Monique was better this week as far as really seeming to be moving from the music, but they both have to remember there are required elements to all the dances.
Mario was good. A very solid performance. And a brave guy to say he’s a Michael Jackson fan in this day and age. His was the only relatively solid lift in the freestyle. Joey looked like he almost dropped Edyta.
I think you’re right. I think he really tried to throw it last night. . . which probably means he’ll be voted through!
I love the big guy. He’s got so much personality and a great work ethic. And he’s got the perfect partner in Cheryl Burke (who really needs to wear makeup ALL THE TIME!) Didn’t you just dig their pink and brown outfits? Loved 'em!
I honestly thought Joey would go last week. There’s something not quite right with him and Edyta. He seems very tentative. . . and her outfits are way too over the top! She’s got a great body, but maybe she should show a little less of it.
She could really be in danger this week unless there’s a lot of backlash against the judges.
Mario is just fabulous! Love his dimples! Love his dance style! He’s the complete package! Joey and Edyta’s lift was embarrassing. He made that whippet of a girl look like she weighed a ton! I would not mind at all if Joey says Sayonara tonite!
I laughed all the way through Springer’s routine. Probably not a good sign. I definitely agree that it’s time to cut him loose.
I agree that Emmitt is getting stronger while Joey is getting weaker. Emmitt has rhythm and he lights up the place with his attitude. Joey’s routine was just flat.
I thought Monique’s routine was a lot of fun though I thought her solo was a bit out of place.
Mario did great, but I wish Eva Longoria would go away because it’s not about her.
I’m amazed with all the filler that they have that they still manage to run over on time.
