Dante's Action Hero Mafia

To my eye voting record with the order of vote is more significant that any other piece of information.

Is anyone else refreshing about once a minute?

No. We know there’s no lynch, so every five minutes for me.

… yes.

(Refresh… refresh… refresh…)

This possibly crosses the line into game discussion, but it’s also a housekeeping issue: Mahaloth barely participated in Day 1, and also said he was having trouble accessing the site because his company blocked it. If he can’t play, maybe Dante should start looking for an alternate to replace him.

I would think that would be between Mahaloth and Dante. Mahaloth’s problem getting online may be temporary, or he may have a fix. I’m pretty sure Dante doesn’t have any alternates, or they’d be playing now.

Out-of-game, I trust Mahaloth to decide for himself whether he needs a sub, regardless of his alignment in-game.

End of Day 1

JFK Airport / New York City
As travelers and families and friends made their way through JFK airport, Sgt. Martin Riggs picked up his bags from the baggage claim area and headed towards the payphones. He knew his partner, Murtaugh was out with his family right now, but he wanted to leave him a message letting him know he arrived. He put down his duffel bag and dialed the number to the Murtaugh house.

“Yeah, Rog’ it’s me. Just landed here at JFK and I’m heading out to catch a cab to my hotel. Tell the Captain I’ll try to make the most out of this little vacation he sent me on, even though I can’t stand talking to shrinks. Anyway, give everyone a hug from me.”

He returned the phone to the cradle and left the phones towards the outside pick up doors.

“Look John, I want to get Gruber just as much as you do, but he technically is a free man. We can’t just go throw some cuffs on him, even if we do find him. Like it or not, rules are rules.”

John McClane looked up at his boss, a slight smile forming on his lips, “Yeah, well, Walt, when have you ever known me to follow the rules.”

Getting up from the chair, **John **walked towards the door but was stopped by Walter’s voice once more.

“Do what you need to find him, John,” Walter said. “After you guys run into each other, knowing you, he’ll probably have all sorts of reasons to do something worth taking him down for. Legally, of course.”

“Right,” John replied. “Legally.”

It is now Night 1. Please PM me your Night Abilities, if you have any. The night will end on Tuesday morning at 10AM EDT. If I should get all abilities before then, and I get a chance to put the narrative together, I will post it.

Between now and then, yes, you can post all you want, but leave it all vanilla posts. No strategies and accusations. I know that’s how you guys are used to playing, so I’m not trying to throw in too many things to change your ways. You can talk about the game, but make no picks or accusations against players.

The color commentary alone is worth the cost of admission. Thanks, Dante!

(Marty Riggs? Do we NEED that psychopath right now? Probably.)

A two-day Day followed by a four-day Night? Winter Is Coming.

Long Night will help give our out of towners time to get home.

Truth be told, I usually don’t have my night phases last that long, but I have a 3 day weekend away from work this weekend and while I’m home, the only internet access I have is through my phone. Trying to write a narrative the way I like to is a pain on a smart phone. When I get into work on Tuesday morning, I have computer access. Easier to write there.

No problem, here. It’ll give me more time to go over the last Day’s activities, and maybe something will occur to me.

I live!

The long night could put be behind a keyboard for Day Two after all. I mean to parse things a bit more thoroughly than I have.

I am wondering if you could clarify this for me: In the first sentence you say “No strategies…” but in the second sentence you say we can “talk about the game…”.

Can we talk meta and properly discuss the game(think topics like the tie-breaker in story’s game), as long as we stay away from accusations and voting, or can we only talk what basically amounts to fluff?

Would, for instance, listing the players and how often they’ve posted be a transgression or simply raw data to be considered?

Fair question.

Meta talk is fine. Like you had mentioned, so long as you stray away from accusing and voting talk. Hell, talk about favorite action movie scenes, or whatever. As long as you don’t discuss votes and accusations.

Posting a players posting history would be allowed, I know you guys like to keep track of that stuff.

Okay, raw data:
