The Daryl being the same from the band Daryl and Oates.
I remember inn 5th grade when Mr. Hoffman rolled n piano and phonograph, we loved their “Rich Girl” as we could sing “bitch girl”
I am a credit watcher and saw a movie about a largish girl “Large Marge” who goes down to Mexico to see her father, played by Steve Zahn with a beard (I’d not known it was him before recognizing the name before downloading the film).
In the production and then music credits there was a “John Oates”. Yep, the same guy. Cool.
The other guy in the band, Daryl Hall, has a thing where he invites musicians to what looks like a comfy living room yet to all intents could be re recording studio,
I generally cannot post videos or there is workaround. Anyway s, here’s links to a bunch. By no means is this all or Daryl has closed shop:
Please dig & dig. I don’t think there’s a “channel” per se, at least not for us peons, yet the man knows good music and plays an awesome second (even on Rich Girl)
There’s one I’ve been looking for for a while now. I remember right before the song started, Daryl decided to use a different key. Afterwords, Daryl asked the guest how easy he can switch keys, commenting that he (Daryl) can change keys without any problem while the guest said he had to think about every single note the entire time.
Daryl w//Rob Thomas - She’s Gone -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYUZqsjeZVs mainly wanted to see if old Daryl would go for the high “She’s goooone!” and he did just fine.
Six or seven years ago, i was in Columbus, Ohio for a gaming convention; several of us who were at the convention went out to get dinner at a nearby Irish pub. It was early in the evening, and the pub was going to have a guitarist playing that evening – when we arrived, he was warming up.
We wound up sitting near the stage, and I struck up a conversation with the guitarist – his name was Shane Theriot, and it turns out that he’s a member of the Daryl’s House band (and, when I looked just now, it looks like he’s also the music director). Really nice guy.
