David Vernon was born on the 9th by scheduled c-section. He weighed 9 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is doing very well, and now that we are home, so am I. I found out why he was breech: his cord was wrapped around his neck three times! He is nursing well and is a very content and alert baby.
Let me be the first (online) to congradulate you. Maloz Tov!!!
Congratulations!
This means that he’s going to invent the tie knot of the future - the knot that’s going to knock the Windsor on its ass, out the door, and into a parallel dimension. Move over, boring old knots of the past - the David Vernon knot is here.
Congratulations! But, at 9 pounds 14 ounces you also have my sympathy.
Congratulations. Very glad to hear the wrapped around the neck didn’t give any serious complications.
Oooh! Congratulations! We want pictures…and soon!
My dad was breech with the whole umbilical cord strangulation thing going on. And he weighed just under 14 lbs. Vaginal birth, too. Talk about feeling reamed! No wonder my grandmother was so crabby.
Thank you all for the congratulations. I will get pictures up soon.
David was born ahead of his due date. I can well imagine him getting to 14 lbs if he had been allowed to take his own time coming out! One due date I was given was 5/15 the other was 5/20. I am quite glad the doc took him when he did.
Those last two weeks are a bitch. You’re very lucky. How’s the daughter-kid taking to him?
Loren is very excited about him. She loved to hold him and touch him. She is intensely curious about him and how we care for him. I am so glad I did not have my mom take her for a few days. She has been very good and is happy to have us all home.
Congratulations! Wishing you luck and joy with your new family.
