Our sincere condolences to David’s family, and his widow in particular. It is comforting to know his passing was calm and painless. He will be sorely missed around here, yet this must pale compared to the loss the family currently feels.

I only just found out about Mr Simmons demise in a recent Pit thread. Deeply saddened to hear about it as Mr Simmons was not just my favorite poster but felt like a father-figure to me. If anyone could be said to have influenced my views on many a topic, Mr Simmons was that person.
Rest in peace Dear Sir, you’ll be sorely missed.
My sympathies go out to all of his loved ones. Trust you had every opportunity to enjoy his endless charm and knowledge on so many a topic.
