I noticed that my times are still given in PST, not PDT. Is that because it’s referenced to GMT, and the UK doesn’t switch to Daylight Savings Time on the same date as the US? Just curious. I didn’t remember this happening last year (or in the fall).
In your user control panel under “Edit Options,” you have a setting to automatically detect DST. Yours is probably “unchecked.” Try enabling that and see what happens. Mine is “checked” and the time appears correctly.
FYI, we changed 10 days ago to summer time.
GMT is obviously still GMT.
Just to add the obvious: in Britain we are now in “BST”, or “British Summer Time”. This is GMT+1hr
It’s not GDMT, or more fully known as, goddamnit?
Not trying to be pendantic, I’m actually a bit confused.
Shouldn’t it be Daylight Saving Time? Because the point is to save some daylight at the end of the day and not-- I dunno-- putting daylight in a piggybank or something?
Or am I the only one who says Daylight Saving?
You’re right. You ARE pedantic! Just kidding. It should be Daylight Saving Time. At least that’s what the CBS news anchor said on the radio on Saturday.
