IIRC, the King Crab and Opilio (Snow Crab) seasons were produced as two different shows.
The King Crab season always ended with the captains settling up bets and having the schmaltzy goodbye scene.
Did I miss something? I not only didn’t see the final totals (I wanted to know just how little Wild Bill caught), but…

Well, I saw the same episode as you, so maybe we both missed something.
I wonder if the settling of bets, etc. that was always shown after king crab season was actually filmed after opilio season?
I don’t think you missed anything. The series went right from King Crab (with a couple of sideways trips for Blue King Crab and some other exotic variety) straight to Opilio season with only a mention of a 3(?) week break. No video of the crewmen quitting just of Russell getting laid off from the Kodiak. I believe they have a bigger story brewing that will be their finale.
