On the grand scheme of things where a 0 is an idyllic white picket fence and a big dog household and 10 is where the parents abuse their children to near death, I’d say I only ranked about a 4 on the emotional abuse scale. Mine is mostly about being severely neglected and my mother’s complete inability to empathize with me (but she has normal relationships with everyone BUT me), so I know I really haven’t had it nearly as hard as some so I don’t like to complain that often.
I still haven’t gotten over why I never had a mother who loved me, but I am just starting to be able to process that I didn’t do anything wrong, and that I tried everything and none of it worked. But thanks.

HAHAHAHA! After I posted, I wondered if it would be taken as another bash at Lynn since it was kind of vague, but no the mommy brigade assumed it had to be that someone was once again noticing that their children are hell to be around. Way to go.
As for drama, well this whole thread is drama created by parents who think that a swat to the butt has to be the same thing as hitting a child, and that physical punishment has to be the same thing as abuse. It’s pretty obvious that none of you know what real abuse is.
I haven’t seen the video in question, nor have I looked at the linked thread, so for all I know the kid was abused and/or Lynn condoned it (which I seriously doubt). All I’ve seen are the posts in this thread and if all of the responses are based only on the OP, you all are doing your usual over reaction. The posts here are the same ones I see any time a poster appears to step out of the “right way of thinking” - part feeding frenzy and part illustration of either immense stupidity or willful misinterpretation. If you all weren’t raising kids, it would be funny.

Miller, dear, I hope your mod talents are better than your memory. I was not shocked to learn there are descendants of slaves in the US, I was surprised to learn that is what a majority of our current black population is. What I actually wasn’t aware of was there there haven’t been all that many black who have come to live here since +/- 150 years ago. Big difference there, but don’t let it get in the way of you doing your best to smear someone based on bad information.
