Having just slogged through a several hundred page biography of her, I’d agree. She seems to be more in the situation of a smarter Paris Hilton, except born to the Corleone Family.

Thanks. It doesn’t seem like an unreasonable request of Shodan He could display his signature in the alloted manner and everone’s happy.

I also request that you please put your sig in actual sig, Shodan. That feature’s there for a reason.

We’d hire traffic cops to replace all the stop lights. We could solve both racism and unemployment in one swell foop.

Fair enough.

Regards,
Shodan

WTF?

Ok, that’s better.

Thank you!

Thanks for doing that, Shodan. I appreciate your willingness to work with people on this.

With some of the more prolix posters, it’s easy—once you’ve slogged through to the bottom of the verbal avalanche—to forget whose post you’ve been reading. So in that sense it’s useful.

And this is indeed a lame pitting. Shodan deserves much better.

See, here’s the problem…I remember a while back, there was a nasty little “joke” going around that went something like, “If Obama is elected, it won’t be the White House any more.” Shodan’s comment hearkens back to that unpleasant little piece of business.

So I have no idea what his intent was, but it’s not unreasonable to think that a comment about turning the White House beige might be the same type of thing.

Yeah! I do! I deserve -

Hey, wait a minute…

::shame-facedly:

I thought it was funny.

For the record, I kind of did too.

Thanks!

However, one does have to be a HUGE musical geek to get the reference right off.

Yes it is, thanks.

Actually, the musical angle didn’t even occur to me. I thought it was slightly humorous, in spite of the percieved racial tinge, if you will.

Not all racial humor is offensive.

For example, I think this post from Cervaise is funny too, in spite of the fact that on the surface it seems anti-semetic.

(I did, however, think “The Blessed One” part was kind of dopey, just because by this time it’s so hackneyed.)
