Decision 2004: SDMB ultra-prelim straw poll

Not Bush

Dean. I have his bumper sticker on my car. The other bumper sticker reads “Re-elect Bush because you’ve waited for Armageddon long enough!”

Not Bush.

Not Bush!

Maybe Clark…I am still undecided.

Bush.

Not Bush

Frankly, I’m disgusted by both parties but I can not in good conscience vote for a man who seriously thinks of me as a dreadful sinner and a second-class citizen. At least the Democrats probably won’t be signing declarations about Marriage Protection Week.

I’d consider a Republican candidate if they started drawing a bit more from the libertarian side and a bit less from the fscking Religious Right side.

NOT BUSH!

Not Bush.
I don’t really like Dean.
Or Leiberman. The pack of Dems that fulfill the loony factor of any presidential primary really doesn’t require much discussion. Which leaves Edwards, Kerry, and Clark. I like Clark I guess, he seems to be reviled by both the far left and the far right, which is a-ok in my book.

Not Bush.

I’d vote either Dean or Green.

Not Bush. If Dean gets the Democratic nomination, I’ll vote for him, unless he does something incredibly despicable (or I find out about something incredibly despicable he’s done) in the interim. I really don’t see him as unelectable, since I could see himself successfully selling himself to the country with his moderate record. If Clark is nominated, I might vote for him, but I need more information about his stands on the issues before I can decide.

If neither of them are nominated, I don’t see any of the other major Democrats as being significantly different from Bush regarding issues I care about. In that case, I’m voting for whichever Libertarian is nominated, or possibly a Green. I think that giving support to a third party will have more of a beneficial effect in that case than determining who will be the next president.
