It’s late here and I don’t have a lot of time so quickly:
I’m a bit worried by the sudden rush to Silver Jan. They’re by no means baseless votes but they’ve come pretty close to saving Kelly. My quick count suggest Kelly is now on 9 and Silver Jan on 7, so we’re not that far from a tie.
Also, would all the people who are now rushing to second vote just because they can, please stop. I’m going to call out USCDiver in particular: you voted for the vote leader and the runner up. This has made absolutely no difference to the eventual lynch.
Confused and fraught though recent posts have been, I haven’t seen anything to make me change my vote. And I certainly haven’t seen anything to make me put on a second vote, because as discussed at length earlier, they should only be used with exceptionally good reason.
I’m voting for you. That’s not an FOS.
Dang girlfriend. I’m so new at this I still have the sales tag on my “I’m a Hopeless Noob Mafia” t-shirt. But even I know that incessantly repeating “I’m town! I’m vanilla townie!” ain’t gonna convince anyone!

Honestly, at this point I’m more suspicious of Silver Jan than I am about KellyCriterion, which is why I’ve got both votes in place so far. Are you really more alarmed by KC than SJ? Kelly’s suspicious activity (for me) was mostly his rush-to-aggressive behavior toward you, which seemed overly play-acting the role of Judgmental Townie. Jan, OTOH, has been contradicting herself right and left, with a weird claim and far more flailing behavior than Kelly (though perhaps he’s benefiting from not being around today).
Can you explain why you find KC more scummalicious than SJ?
The fact that she keeps voting and unvoting, with some poor reasoning (her vote on Romanic; OMGUS votes on **Normal **and pedescribe; the completely unexplained vote on Koldanar).
The repeated “innocent litte-ol’ me” tone in her posts.
The fact that she didn’t know the vote count.
All of which can be explained by her being a “new player”. Or not.

I asked them what they felt about the fact that their PMs were similar to Kelly’s only without the NPC Townperson Class.
By using the lack of NPC Townperson class in part of your reasoning, you’re basically outing yourself as either Scum or Power Role or 3rd party. (or, as Normal pointed out, hopefully some Vanilla Town do match Kelly’s NPC Townperson)
In any case, it’s a discussion that needs to stop.

After thinking about it some more, and actually reviewing the play. It seems that Kelly has been a “flustered scum” before. Although in the past it was characterized by being super-aggressive. I’m just not buying the cases being made on his handshaking attempt. The reading i’m getting is: Desperate Player. Not really indicative of either town or scum. I do however suppose that with the weight of the bandwagon he’s carrying right now, he should be lynched. But I don’t like lynching people I really don’t suspect.
Kelly’s not matching mine in a sense that Jan’s did reinforced my respective feelings about each of them at the time those PMs were posted (scum/not scum). Objectively, that’s probably not fair, though. I don’t know how far the “prevent handshaking” tactics extend, and they could well encompass both of them, even if one or both is scum (cover roles).
I will say (and if the scum want to think I’m trying to fake them out with this they’re free to, but it’s true) that the sheer number of players questioning Jan’s PM in one sense or another is starting to reassure me that I jumped the gun on the panic button and that some of them are in fact vanillas with different PMs from ours.

Sorry for the delay, I’m posting this at work from my phone.
The day’s light is fading. While the adventurers have dutifully killed the town’s ale reserves, they’ve made little progress towards finding the Lords of Slaughter. Some claimed it was too hard, that they couldn’t be expected to find the evildoers with only a single day’s work. Others were optimistic, sure they’d ferret out the Lords after a good night’s rest.
“Where do you think they’ll hide?” An adventurer asks. “The Demon Vault? The Twilight Forge? The Dragon Sands?”
“Naw.” Another replies, as he spits into the grass. “They’ll be here, just waiting to kill. You can count on it.”
A scuffle breaks out, echoing through the alleyways of De’endee. Before long, KellyCriterion is dragged into the center of the town.
“I caught this one tryin’ to cast some kinda arcane spell thingie. Think it’s one of them Lords of Slaughter.”
“It’s not true!” Kelly cries out. “It wasn’t a spell at all, it was the secret town handshake!”
The mayor of the town steps forward. “KellyCriterion? No. Kelly’s one of ours. Been here for twenty years or more.”
“One of yours…” a magic-user says. “… or one of the LORDS OF SLAUGHTER IN DISGUISE? NEYAHHH!” She throws a large fireball at Kelly, who promptly explodes.
“Nope, definitely one of ours.” The mayor says.
As the adventurers, disappointed, trudge their way away from the carnage, an adventurer pats the magic-user on the back. “I thought that was a really cool fireball, at least.”
KellyCriterion, an NPC townsperson and One of the Defenders of De’endee, is dead. Night has fallen, and will last until July 16th at 6pm. All night actions must be submitted before that time.
