Definitely.. maybe.. but if I think about it..

hmm…
uhmkay…

The story goes like this:

June 2000: Language week with school in England:
Me liking son of host parents vewy much
He liking me too
When I leave we start to email

July/August: Me in Amsterdam - me back in England -
the two of us “boyfriend and girlfriend”
me going home
we email again

Fact: I ll most certainly move to England in June

So in his last email he writes I should come over to England in January because of a friend’s birthday. She wants to go to centre parks for the week and we could come too. He says he could pay for my flight and accomodation (which is sweet but I d never let him)

To travel or not to travel…
I think I have the money for it…
my parents would allow it… (though not very pleased - but they would) and I am all aaaaaargh I dont know.

I d love to - but then I should use the holidays to study (on the other hand I always plan to use the holidays to study but never actually do it)

damn… I dont know…
and I ve been getting on my classmates nerves the whole week…

dodgy :frowning:

Go for it.

For one thing you cant really get to know this person TOO well before you commit to a more serious relationship while you are resident in the country.

A second thing is that you will have some fun , youll have time to relax and contemplate your wonderful future. Youll arrive back in a much better frame of mind to really commit to your studies. Having something to work twoards is going to really focus you on getting down to hard work. You also wont resent the fact that you missed the holiday. Your work might be tainted by the fact that “well I could have gone to England this holiday so i figure I owe myself a day off here …oh and here…oh and I really cant miss that night out…etc etc”

Ah, go for it, Dodgy. I’m in almost exactly the same situation, except:

– I’m in grad school, which means I’m living well below the poverty line, and I have to plan the class I’m teaching as well
– I’m a hell of a lot farther from England than you are.

And I’m going. Hey, I know I’d regret it if I didn’t.

Go. You aren’t going to study much anyway, just go. Live while you’re alive.

Go and have a good time, or else!

Go for it. No one studies over the holidays so have fun. Otherwise you will sit at home, not studying, but thinking of the fun you could have had.

On the off-chance you didn’t see the first eighteen posts here:

GO

FOR

IT

And give us details when you come back or whatever.

No! for Godsake don’t do it! It’s a horrible idea. What are you, crazy?
(Um, of course going to England to be with my cute English boyfriend might be something i would kill to be doing next month. So please consider the role pathological jealosy might play in my above comment. And have a good time. :))

LOL

I ll do my vewy best…

thanx
