So today is my Firday. YAY! Tomorrow I go complete the registration/release/safety video stuff for the 60K walk this weekend, and then head home to pack up my bag and get some rest before the big event. I opted to take Monday off for recovery purposes, since I’m not sure what shape I’ll be in afterwards (I’ve been slacking on training this year due to lack of time).
Speaking of which… is anyone signed up for next week’s MMP? If not, I think I’d like to pop my cherry and regale you all with stories about the weekend.

Spaz - They’re making a sequel to The Dark Crystal? After – what is it? 26 years? And it has continuity problems? Sounds like Hollywood’s typical out-of-ideas dreck. Did you read the synopsis? “An evil mysterious girl named Thurma made of fire who lives in the blazing center of the planet steals a shard of the crystal in hopes of reigniting the dying sun! There is only one thing powerful enough to heal the star - a shard of the crystal.” Uh … wait. Is she evil or is she good? Is reigniting the sun bad? Do they not want her to do that? Is stealing a shard of the crystal-that-was-supposed-to-be-healed bad? I’m confused.
Smarty - Danke schoen. It was a nice trip, and I think I got pics of pretty much everything I wanted to, but next time, we bring the real camera.
Swampus - I think things have settled down a bit with the board – musta gotten rid of that lazy bum hamster that was sleeping on the wheel. At least I hope. I posted that before I realized just how truly messed up things were, so I’m glad it managed to post successfully. Of course, then later on I couldn’t even get here.
Sad because I have to delay meeting the Beantown bunch, but happy because it reduced my stress level by a power of 10: my Boston trip is cancelled, probably to be rescheduled for late October. The reason is Hanna, with Ike to follow in the same track.
Chips, you can either click the B on top and then write in between the two groups of brackets, or write, select the part you want bolded and then click the B. Or you can even write {b} and {/b} only with straight brackets around the part you want bolded… none of the three work? All three work for me.
The smileys aren’t working unless I spell them, though. The ones on the right don’t workee and the ones in the uptop menu are doing the same thing as the colors, they don’t give me the dropdown. Pouties!

Ooh ooh ooh! I plum fergot to tell y’all about this. Sarah, Fred’s wife, came home Tuesday after 3 months of hospital and nursing home stay because of that broken femur. For her first night home, we cooked them dinner and took it over to them.
It’s been a long time since I saw Fred that happy, to have his Momma home with him.
Welcome back dogma! Wow it’s like old home week around here. Stuff seems to be workin’ right now. Reckon that’ll last?

Takin’ a little lunch break but soon to get down to work big time. See, this mornin’ I opted to go ahead and mow. It was pretty dry out and the temp was like 66 degrees. It was like Og himself predestined this mornin’ for mowin’! So, I did and then showered and got busy on the work pile. It’s just nice to have the yards all spiffed.
Back to work - roasting meat for Her Majesty while ID creation processes cook on the servers. I just have to watch out that I don’t cook the programmers to medium-rare and give a password to the roast beef.
