Democrat thuggery, Boston style.

No, those are hallucinations. Not legends.

You kidding? They had to install another server just to keep my “friend list”!

Yeah, right. Like they’d ever get another server.

Actually this happened in Washington.

Winged Sea Unicorn :stuck_out_tongue:

Only stupid bad people think like that.

blink That’s it???

I’ve skimmed around this thread spending more time than I should had but I haven’t seen the video of the incident until then.

You call that thuggery? The reporter walked into the barrier, falls down and the thug in question helps immediately helps him up and asks “you OK?”.

It really takes the cake on partisan blindness to tar the whole of democrats over this.

Well, we’re talking about people with very delicate sensibilities, the Amish pacifist wing of the right.

Huh?

Ha! The reporter was pushed. View the video again. At about :05 the reporter, who is the one holding the tape recorder up in the air, passes Meehan, who immediately veers left into the reporter, pushing him into the railing. Than after he “helps” the reporter up, he physically impedes him from going where he wants and has a right to go. That’s thuggery. Sorry.

I agree. And I haven’t done that. As I’ve said, I don’t even think Meehan’s behavior taints Coakley. There does, though, seem to be a tolerance for thuggish behavior by those on the left, when it benefits them. Disappointingly, this incident and the one of voter intimidation in Philly, which I cited in my OP, are two examples. And to make matters worse, today Congress voted 15-14 to not compel Holder to explain himself. No, nothing to see here. Move along now. Now, THAT is REALLY unbelievable. Voting freely and without intimidation is a cornerstone of our democracy. Well, outside of Chicago politics and union voting, anyway.

So “Democrat”, “thuggery”, and “Boston” have all been called into question.

Anybody want to take on “style”?

Maybe in your gated community. Where I come from, that’s a first date.

It’s looking like the Republican may take the seat.

If that happens, it’s an evil portent for Democrats. They could lose the House. Losing Teddy Kennedy’s seat will be a major psychological blow. Every blue dog in the house will be running away from the health care bill.

It’s becoming quite clear that there’s a general revolt against the current Democratic leadership that has spread through independents and even some Democrats. Brown raised $1 million dollars a day every day this week. All from small donations.

Is he the candidate that isn’t afraid to bare the truth? Letting the world know that he’s comfortable in his own skin? The campaign slogan “Read My Lips, No Nude Taxes!”? Is that him?

Or is he the one who is running away from the Tea Party at .9 C?

Is he really ready to stand with such giants as Steele, Palin and Gingrich?

Dang, first Democrat thuggery, now evil portents. Surely the End Times are approaching.

It’s not the Kennedy’s seat, it’s not the Democrats’ seat, it’s the people’s seat.

Hell, if it’s the People’s Seat I’m voting Wapner.

Actually, it’s a fair point - I do dislike the whole idea of a presumptive right to the seat, from either side of the political fence.

That said, I’m willing to bet that Kennedy holding onto the seat for so long had to do much more with him being Ted Kennedy than him being a Democrat. Even discounting loyalty to the Kennedy brand (which is pretty powerful) Teddy was very much a pillar of his community. To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen, Coakley is no Ted Kennedy, and she may well lose the seat due to her own failings (which, I gather, are many) rather than from some massive groundswell of anti-Obama feeling.

And what will the Republicans talk about if the Democrats no longer have an unimpeachable majority? Who knows - falling below the 60-seat mark may inspire the Dems to get their act together.

Ha ha! I kid. Congressional Democrats couldn’t agree a lunch menu at gunpoint.

“Shove a curling iron up her butt.”

You are aware, aren’t you, of the case that inspired this (tasteless) comment, right?
