Democrats, you go to hell, you go to hell and you die!!!!

Dearest Mr. Humor-Impaired, nicotine-stained individual:

I knew that the “dummy” comment would get you. Your fragile ego could not let that go. Oh, by the way, WE ARE ALL STILL BETTER THAN YOU!

[sub]For all of you who don’t know what that reference is about, it’s from an exchange we had on a smoking thread a while ago…[/sub]

Prove it.

It gives power to the individual states (remember that whole “States Rights” thing in the Constitution?), as well as ensuring that the three biggest states (California, New York, and Texas) don’t dominate the Federal scene as much as they already do. Otherwise, states like North Dakota would get jack-shit. Is it really fair to fuck over a minority just because they don’t live in a popular area?

Elitist hypocrite.

(And, yes, I know that I’ve been ignoring Hardcore. There’s a method to my madness, yes there is.)

Platitude (n.) 2. a banal, trite, or stale remark. Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary. I’ll just point out that this comment was redundant, and leave it at that.

OK, Farmer, Chronolicht, and your ilk, I’ll teach you something that most people digest by the time they are finished kindergarten: People who disagree with you are not evil. Got that? There will be a quiz later.

Whether their evil is conscious or not is up to debate but the result of their thinking is evil. Let me give you an example. Within 40 years we will run out of oil. Our entire economy runs on fossil fuels. The sustained effort and cash that will be necessary to replace the combustion engine needs to start 20 years ago. Bush has no energy policy. He thinks global warming isn’t even happening. This is contrary to thousands of scientists who confirm that it is definitely a potential problem of biblical magnitude. Can you even begin to imagine what will happen to this country, the world for that matter, without the means to drive an economic system like ours? Complete fucking collapse. People hear what they want to hear. Bush’s smooth talking little drawl placates many but not those who have the imagination to see what the fuck if going to happen. Party on in your giant SUV but remember this; if you have kids then they are going to be eating bark off of trees if there are any left.
Yosemitefotch, your reply is indicative of your emotional immaturity and your inability to bring anything worthwhile in the way of ideas to the table means your intellect fits in nicely with your stunted affect. All is right in your little world.
As for the electoral college, the reasoning behind the incessant bleating about being left out of the process is faulty. There would still be plenty of visits to intellectually benighted places like South dakota because there would still be close races there, too. Gore hardly visited California at all because he had it sewn up. You don’t hear anyone in California whining about it. Giant expanses of land with few people are for agriculture and resource extraction. A cursory look at the way the people who live in these places manage these resources indicate they can’t even steward their own giant backyards. Should we give them disproportionate representation in the federal gov’t?
Why don’t you ruminate about this while you clean your little gun, spoogebogoatdiddler? Terminal valves like you always have guns. BTW, you are many times more likely to kill your mother with it than an intruder, or your son to blow away his little sister. Please keep it locked up. Demented twist.

So this is your definition of evil? Because you predict that, 40 years in the future, the environment will collapse if the Bush/GOP policies are implemented? Your definition is passing strange.
No one can predict the future. I repeat, no one, even you, can predict the future. If people could, we’d be living on Mars with our rocket cars now.
Your vision of the future is a hypothesis. It is a hypothesis I generally agree with, but that’s not the point. You and I do not know what is going to happen by the year 2040. Since we don’t know, Bush and the GOP are not evil for disagreeing. They are, at worst, short-sighted.

Let me turn it around. In the 1960’s, the Great Society campaign of LBJ and the Dems resulted in, among other things, a massive expansion of the Aid to Families with Dependent Children. One result of that expansion was a situation by 1991 where, if fathers were caught living in the same home as their SO and children, the children’s AFDC, under many circumstances, could be cut off. So the Great Society resulted in forcing parents out of their kids’ homes. Was that an evil result? Were LBJ and the Dems evil for doing that? If not, why not? Their intentions were good?!?

BTW, don’t come back and say that my example with AFDC is some sort of Republican propaganda. The example comes from personal experience. For three years between 1990 and 1994, I represented people who had been cut off from welfare, Social Security, etc. I chose 1991 because in that year I had two cases in which I had to prove that the father wasn’t living with his kids, so as to keep the kids on welfare.

Bullshit. Several hundred million years’ worth of decomposing carcasses won’t be used up in a single century.

No it doesn’t. Ever hear of “nuclear power”? (No, not “nucular”)

And it did. Where were you? Oh, that’s right, “trippin’ out, man…” The Ford Motor Co. is releasing it’s first fuel-cell car in 2004. The fuel cell reduces emissions by approximately 90% and would get more than 3X more mileage from a gallon of gas. That seems like a step towards replacing the combustion engine, doesn’t it?

Also untrue. It’s just that Mr. Gore and his short-sighted propaganda-spewing cronies don’t want him to enact it.

Who’s to say it is? Oh, that’s right, knee-jerk reactionaries who forget that weather and climate fluctuated wildly long before humans arrived on the scene.

And thousands of other scientists say THOSE scientists are full of shit.

And Gore’s forked tongue easily manipulates brain-dead retards who can’t think for themselves and will believe any drivel that is placed before them.

How so? You’re assuming that individual states don’t have rights, which is untrue. The Electoral College was instituted as a compromise (you DO know what a compromise is, don’t you?) between having the states choose a president and having a popular vote choose the president.

But since they have much smaller populations, those close races wouldn’t mean squat. I don’t see how this would require Federal politicians to try to earn their votes, too.

Yes, he was out visiting places like the Dakota’s. You know why? Because of the electoral college, genius. Otherwise, he’d have been shuttling back and forth between California and New York for the past year, and we’d never hear about places like Maine or Idaho.

Exactly. The backbone of our economy. I’d imagine that those areas should get more of a say in the political process than a bunch of spoiled sun-bathing So-Cal folk.

Nope. But should we give the STATES (that States Rights thing again! Sheesh, read the fucking Constitution, will you?!?) disproportionate representation?

Gesundheit. And yes, I will. I’ll ruminate whilst I polish up the trigger guard, wipe the barrel clean of filth, and shine up the casing. After all, it takes lots of skill and dexterity to handle a gun. Apparently, skill and dexterity that you lack.

Untrue.

Gosh, you seem full of lies today, don’tcha, Mr. Licht? Perhaps you’d like to find a book to read. You know what “books” are, don’t you? You know, paper, cover, words… I know, it must be very confusing to one such as yourself.
