High Fly at 20-1 wins it. Or so I boldly predict.
nope.
Damn! He was leading at the last turn and a little further… oh well, it only counts if your leading at the wire.
Gotta love the come-from-behind underdog!
Winner…50-1
2nd place…70-1
Who would have guessed?
…leading to an exacta of almost 10G, a trifecta of over $130,000, and a superfecta of deep breath $1.7 million.
Shit - someone just made a fortune for betting their birthday or something… :smack:
Wow, $1.7M superfecta. I wonder how many people had that ticket? Probably only 1 or 2.
I missed the race because I was out to eat with friends.:smack: Does anyone know where I can catch a replay of the race, either a site with video or will a show like SportsCenter be showing replays today?
Any help will be appreciated.

How about kentuckyderby.com?
I couldn’t find this year’s race on that site, but they were showing clips on the news and mentioned the full race could be seen on ESPN.com. Thanks for your help, though.
According to the news on the Stern show this morning, 12 folks bought winning Superfecta tickets.
Lucky bastards.
I rooted for Greater Good, because it was the title of the most recent episode of Lost. Leave it to me to pick the race horse with epilepsy. I think he came in dead last … at least he didn’t have a seizure.
So what happens to the horse that comes in last? Is he dog food, or does even the worst Derby runner count for something among horse breeders?
Just running in the Derby is big medicine. What do they start out with? Something like 200 entries? Maybe more?
