Was there an English translation of the manga Desert Rose ?
If so, where can I get one?
No digital downloads wanted.
Also, the Anime version on DVD/bluray, with English subtitles.
A quick search of all my favorite retro anime and manga doesn’t turn up any licensed translations of the manga. I do see there was a DVD/Bluray re-release, but it doesn’t confirm if there are English subtitles available. Website directly out of the aughts here though it appears to be a MTL site, and even it mentions that these were created for the Japanese market so I’d not be hopeful on subtitles.
Lots of sites selling new and/or used copies, but (and this applies above as well) I’m not equipped to evaluate the sketchiness of the sellers. But with a few copies on Ebay, you might be able to confirm subtitles or reach out to the seller. Not much, I know.

I know it is lame, but if you buy the manga, then you will have the manga in your hands, and you can always download one of the unofficial translations to refer to.
