Desktop colour

i have Windows Me and it has a nice blue colour for the background to the desktop. my dad has W98SE and he is jealous cos his desktop is a bit of a cruddy dull bluey green colour.

is there any way of changing his to same colour as mine?

Do you mean the actual plain old desktop colour or the pattern/image shown?

Right-click on the desktop and select Properties. You can select a new pattern or background image from the Background tab. If you want to change the colour, click the Appearance tab. Select Desktop from the Item pull-down menu. Change the colour using the colour button/drop-down list.

Well, if you have paint programs on each PC, open up your wallpaper, use the dropper tool, and copy the R,G and B numbers. Then, create a new wallpaper with those values. Or, just convert your wallpaper to a jpg, put it on a disk, and put it into your dad’s c:/windows folder, after converting it back into a bitmap (.bmp).

i mean the plain old desktop colour.

cool i’ve done it. thanks for the help guys he’ll be chuffed.

btw if you have W98 or 95 or whatever and want the sexy WME colour here it is:

Hue: 140, Sat: 120, Lum: 105
Red: 56, Green: 112, Blue 168

anyone know the WXP colour?
