Oooh, good question…maybe she forgot about the one in the chamber? Loved this episode. Even though I knew Nora would die, It was still a shock, the off-handed way it happened. Especially because earlier in the evening I’d been nearby when some cops had to put down a deer…though I knew the shot was coming, it was so…loud.

I actually gasped when Nora got shot.
But I’m glad. Because I hated her character.
The nicest thing about fiction is you can actually hope the characters you hate die.

she looked at the gun, and told harvey she had one bullet for him, and one for the woman with him. that did make 5.

Best episode of the season so far - not even close. Probably one of the best episodes ever, really.
Am I the only one that actually likes the Carlos/Gabrielle storyline? I loved the part where Carlos says they can stop, or go on trashing the snot out of the house, her call - and she casually tips over the flower vase. And where the neighbor stops in on them just as Carlos heads upstairs with the chainsaw.
As much as I hated the Nora character, it was a rather unsatisfying way to get rid of the character. I would have much rather have seen Lynette give her a good ol’ fashion bitch-slapping.

She shot a violent killer and hostage-taker (I’m drawing a blank. Is there a word for “hostage-taker”?) who was struggling to regain her gun in the head.
It’s all in how you phrase it.
Who had already shot two people and shot and killed a third. She showed no compunction or remorse.
Vigilante justice? Probably. But since the only witness were her fellow hostages, I don’t think any charges would be pressed.
Of course, over on Law and Order, Jack McCoy would probably use Austin’s underaged drinking against him to force him testify that he had subdued Caroline and someone could have easily kicked the gun out of reach. I think Ice Cream Throwing Man could have also helped in subduing Caroline. Hell, Julie might have to testify to avoid a shoplifting charge.
