Desperate Housewives 12/4

I know that the show isn’t supposed to be realistic, but the Applewhite thing was bugging the heck out of my wife and me. The way people were strolling in and out of what I can only assume was supposed to be a locked psych ward …sheesh…

I gave up on this show to watch Supernatural on the WB (they were replaying Tuesday’s episode on Sunday and I watch comedies at 9 on Tuesday) but even with there being no Supernatural this week… I still didn’t even bother.

The show ain’t got legs.

I feel bad for Marc Cherry. HE couldn’t even get murdered in this town before DH and if DH crashes and burns after 2 seasons, he probably will have to give up the tv business.

Why? Two seasons of a show ranked in the top five (top three?) is nothing to sneeze at. And ratings-wise, is the show failing? I don’t think it is, though I don’t know for certain.

I’m a bit tired of Gabi and Carlos. She has become a horrible, horrible person in so many ways.
If the Applewhites had been keeping their problem child in the basement before, why didn’t they put him back in there? It looks like Betty just left him to sleep on the sofa. Did I miss something?
I still enjoy the Bree storylines most, but I have to say I liked Lynnette this time as well.

I will probably watch DH to its conclusion. The writers show promise, so I’ll give 'em some slack. (athough it certainly seems like they hadn’t really thought out the details beyond a single year and are scrambling to stay ahead)

That said, my reaction to Bree’s son was that he doesn’t really “have” all that much on her. He can tell the police that she lied about her whereabouts, but notice–she allowed the weirdo druggist to die in the same passive-aggresive manner that she seemed to allow her husband to die. And there’s no crime in failing to save someone. i.e. she didn’t kill either one of them in a criminal way even though she had the opportuntity, it seems, to save each of them.
