Starting the thread early for anyone who gets to see it before I do. It was off last week, but tonight we’ll see what happens with Baby Solis, Andrew vs. Bree, and more.
Just bumping.
Kyle Mclaughlin is always so delightfully creepy. That line about deciding to put his tongue in Susan’s mouth…ew!
So was the porn Andrew’s or Justin’s? And could this alliance lead to Bree’s perhaps becoming more understanding of Andrew’s sexuality?
Did we know before that the grandparents controlled the trust fund? If that was the case, why not just ask them to release it?
Nice to see that Gabby’s actually becoming, you know, a parent.
The less said about Mrs McLusky’s woo woo, the better.
It must have been Justin’s. I liked what Justin said about Andrew, how he’s a fighter, doesn’t give up, goes after what he wants (paraphrased). It either made Bree see how she and Andrew are alike, and maybe respect him for it, or it gave Bree the impetus to keep fighting and not give Andrew up to the grandparents. One of those, anyway.
When are the writers going to stop introducing new men into Susan’s life? Do they think that’s why we’re watching? That we find long term monogamous relationships boring?
Mrs McCluskey eating the fudgicle, and the look on Lynette’s face, was priceless.
The look on Mrs. McCluskey’s face was even better. “Good god, Lynette!”
“Nothing good has come of our relationship! Except for you, hunny.”
Heh.
Gotta finish the quote. “Except for you, honey, you’re my rock!” Which prompts Julie to wave her spoon dismissively, and which shows how completely fucked up Susan is that she’s relying on her teenage daughter to be her “rock.”
I was starting to get worried that Gabie was going to revert back to the completely 100% self-centered bitch that she was last season (instead of just the mildly, but amusingly, one she is this year). Glad to see that she snapped out of it.
I see we’re continuing the trend of only having as many children as we need to shoot the scene…didn’t Andrew have a sister at one point? Odd that she was never around to see her grandparents.
Yes, Andrew’s sister is Danielle, but the only time we’ve seen her recently is when she’s with the older Applewhite fellow–sorry, forgot his name.
Lynnette’s son looking between the dog’s legs: priceless!
I’m sure the gay porn was Justin’s.
It was great seeing Carol Burnett. I hope that she and Bree have an all out battle of the wits where it’s not clear who wins.
So far, Carol Burnett was just signed for the one episode - a dream casting for the show’s creator, Marc Cherry who said she is the one actress he really wanted to be on the show from day one. However, Carol has been quoted as saying she would love to come back and do some additional episodes as long as they keep her character really “mean”…and it seems Mr. Cherry is more than happy to comply, so look for Carol to appear in some additional episodes, but probably not this season.
So the final scene of Bree bringing pie to Andrew and Justin…does this mean Bree if finally over the shock and will become the poster mother for PFLAG?
Will there ever be any fall-out from Andrew basically murdering Mama Solis?!?
But he didn’t. She came out of the coma and was otherwise just fine. She died from falling down the stairs, which had nothing to do with Andrew. He should be charged with Hit and Run, but a charge of murder would be ridiculous. And if he gets charged for the H&R, Bree should be charged with insurance fraud, aiding and abeting and whatever else she can be charged with for her actions in covering up his crime. But just like every other character who’s guilty of some kind of crime (Susan, Mike, Paul, Mrs. Applewhite, etc.), it’s highly unlikely that they’ll ever pay the price, otherwise there’d basically be no cast left.
I can’t think of any reason why it wouldn’t be Andrew’s – he’s gay, and it was in his house.
Because Bree enlisted the boyfriend’s help in her plan to make it so Andrew could stay. Since the only thing we saw her actually do to that end was to present a box of porn to the grandparents, there seemed to be a strong implication in setting up that scene that the help she needed was for the boyfriend to supply the props. If she knew Andrew had it all the time, she wouldn’t have needed to ask the boyfriend for his help in executing the plan, she’d’ve just done it.
Which is a damn shame, cuz if Andrew hadn’t run over the old gal, she’d still be alive. Lucky for him she fell down the stairs. I think that’s called an “intervening cause” or something.
I’d like to see him show some remorse. The writers are dropping the ball if they don’t have a “what goes around comes around” at some point. I want closure!
