Desperate Housewives 5/21: season 2 finale (SPOILERS)

The only white chick I see here is Mariesa Tomei.

This Kiersten Warren woman does have the face of the generic perky brunette who would show up on these sit-coms though.

I knew she looked familiar when she was in Independence Day. I didn’t watch Saved by the Bell. I didn’t, I tell you!

Pardon me, she was on Saved by the Bell: The College Years. An important distinction …apparently she was one of Zack and Slater’s roommates, “Alex Tabor”, yes that sounds familiar. Makes sense you might conflate two college shows.

Remember last season when she finally got the twins in that private school? Parker was still at home. She was always having to drag him and the baby along whenever she went somewhere. The episode that comes to mind is the one where Parker got gum in his hair and she shaved his head, then passed him off as a cancer kid.

So someone explain what happened with Zach this week…remember, I only saw the last 15 minutes. Is Paul in jail because of the missing neighbor? And why did Bree have to escape from the hospital? How did Lynette confront Tom about this woman…how did they get together to discuss it (last week he came home to an empty house) How did he get involved with this Nora freak, and how long ago…how old is the kidlet? If Susan is living in a trailer, where is Julie? And why is Orson gunning for Mike?

Ok - dad has been arrested for the missing neighbor. She set him up to go to prison last week, by storing up a lot of her blood and actually cutting off her fingers (!) and leaving them in his vehicle.

Zach was at the jail because his dad wanted him to go see the dying grandfather and get money to get him out. Grandfather basically tells him that he’s a weenie, and he’s not going to leave him the fortune after all. Zach turns off his breathing machine. Grandfather smiles a bit - like that’s what he wanted after all.

Zach is out by the lake when his cell phone rings - it’s dad. (How do you get a collect phone call on a cell phone? You can’t. Oh well.) Zach doesn’t answer it - hands it to HIS new servant, and tells him to get him a new cell phone with a new number. "And fill in this stupid lake!

And why did Bree have to escape from the hospital? QUOTE]

She found out from Mrs Applewhite that her daughter was with the (normal) brother who is the real killer. This was revealed in a flashback of when the Applewhites were in Chicago or wherever they came from.

From Ivylass:
Lynette and the Ps were staying at a motel. She tells the kids it’s time to go, but they’re not going home, they’re going to stay at Grandma’s. She tells them Daddy loves them very much and will visit as much as he can, that they are still a family, they just won’t be living together. The Ps ask if they can go swimming.

Then, as they’re leaving the motel, one of the Ps pitches a fit because Lynette won’t let him go swimming. Since she’s blocking the door, he decides to dive from the balcony and breaks his arm.

At the hospital, Tom finally corners Lynette and tells her what’s up with Atlantic City: 12 years ago, before he met Lynette, he had a one night stand with this chick on a cruise. He recently found out she had a daughter, and DNA tests prove it is his. Lynette is upset, but relieved he wasn’t having an affair, and goes home.

Surprise, Atlantic City shows up wanting 11 years of back child support. Back and forth over how they can afford it, and the Scavos write a big check if Atlantic City will agree to not seek further support. She decides to put the money down on a house five minute’s away from the Scavos.

More in a sec…

Julie is with her. The trailer is parked in front of her burned out house.

Mike went to a dentist, who is Orson, recommended by Susan. (Because he chipped his tooth when Susan’s ex threw something at him when they were fighting over Susan. Ex had tried to buy Susan a house, after ex saw Mike buying an engagement ring for Susan.)

Orson saw that Mike had “jailhouse dentistry.” We’re not really told, but it seems Orson knows him from prison. Maybe that’s why he runs Mike down?

Mike says he thought he recognized Orson at the movie theatre when he saw him with Susan on their fake date. Orson said something about only practicing in one particular state (I forget hich one) and Mike notes his diploma is from IIRC Minnesota. Orson says he’s certified in three states and the next we see of him he’s running Mike over.

I’m still betting on a connection to Dierdre. I’m staying with my read of the old woman in the wheelchair being Dierdre’s mother and Orson being a long-lost half-brother or something.

…but why run over Mike, Dierdre’s ex? Would he be more likely to frame or take revenge against Paul for Dierdre’s death? I really want to know what Orson’s got against Mike.

What, you want plot twists on DH to make sense now?

OK, maybe Orson doesn’t know the whole story. All he knows is “Dierdre ran off with Mike and now she’s dead.” Or even if he doesn’t know the whole story he blames Mike anyway.

Or, if he’s not related to Dierdre (which would make him a competitor for the old man’s estate which would be a way of keeping Zach on the show) maybe he’s the long lost brother of the guy Mike went to prison for killing and wheelchair lady is their mother.

I still have an odd feeling that it’ll be about Dierdre, though.

Slight correction…Zach DID talk to Paul, blew him off with “He won’t give me the money” and “I don’t think asking him again will work” and “No, I can’t visit you tomorrow, and next week is kind of bad too, I’ll let you know.” Then he hangs up, tosses the phone to the butler, and tells him to get him a new one with a different number.

That “something” was the salad spinner! They started flinging kitchen items at each other and Susan ineffectually went after them with a spatula.

Right! Thanks for the corrections.

He chipped his tooth on a salad spinner? I have a big honking salad spinner made of plastic and I doubt it would hurt much if someone threw it at me, let alone chip a tooth. Was hers made of solid steel or something?

It was actually a Salad Shooter. A MUCH more damaging projectile.

Ah, that makes more sense.

y’all have made me scare the cats… again!

only on the sdmb would someone write:“it was actually a salad shooter. a much more damaging projectile.”

nod the naughty just came back into the room to check on me.
