Desperate Housewives 5/6

Lynette’s gettin’ it on with the cook, Gabi’s goin’ to jail, and Susan’s huntin’ for Mike in the woods.

You up for it?

bump

And again.

Susan: wretched twit. Next!

Gabi: power-mad twit. Next!

Lynette: Foolish twit. Next!

Edie: manipulative twit. Next!

Bree: come back my crazy goddess!

Amen!

I thougt it was the best episode in the history of the show. Brilliantly written and directed. Parallel editing in the best Hitchcock tradition. The juxtapositions of manipulation and consequence were subtle and jarring at the same time. Lynette crying at the bathtub while clueless Tom blathered from the bedroom. A newly tamed Gaby, scolded into conformity, dancing with the mayor while her bruiser is beaten. Edie resting consolably with the object of her lust even as his mind is on his, oops, her son. Even Susan was deeper than a wet spot this time. And Toni. Gah, I loved Toni. A hardy and handsome woman whose head is as wise as her body is strong.

I’ll be saving this one on DVR to view again and again.

Maybe not the best in the history of the show, but definitely one of the best this season (maybe second, after Bang!), for all the reasons you stated.

Anyone know if Bree will be back this season?

According to TV.com:

Getting Married Today
First aired: 5/20/2007 Production Code: 323
Bree and Orson return to Wisteria Lane for Gaby and Victor’s fairy tale wedding, and a surprise wedding takes place in an unexpected location.

I’d love for Toni to move into Wisteria Lane. I’d love to hear her assessment of the other women.

42 degrees is awfully cold. You’d have thought they would have been at least shivering…

I love to hate Gabby. Loved that the Mayor told her to quit embarrassing him.
