Look, you have some useful input on food-related threads, but (a) your personal experiences are not the One True Way, and (b) could you please dial back the rhetoric a bit?
Latest example starts toward the end of page 1 in this thread.
I don’t know a Bourdain from a hole in the wall, but the repeated talk about unhealthy relationships with food just randomly thrown into threads is bizarre. The thread in the OP has it.
This thread about soup has him replying to himself a number of times and then all of a sudden:
It’s like he has this programming that spits out this line of dialogue every so often, no matter if it fits. Weird.

Anthony Bourdain is the self-styled bad boy of the culinairy world. He has a show on one of the cable networks called No Reservations, and a good portion of his schtick is mocking Rachael Ray and the Food Network.

that’s just bizarre. from reading these threads, devilknews reminds me of those stubborn chefs/owners on Kitchen Nightmares that always thinks that all his critics, including his own customers and Gordon Ramsey, are always wrong for one reason or another. And of course the show usually ends with a “… and this restaurant succumbed to debt six weeks later” sign-off.
And no, I have no idea why he used it in that context.

To the OP, maybe your OP should be broader. It’s not just food related stuff but random stuff out of nowhere as well.

Now, now - without devilsknew, we wouldn’t know that microplanes were tools of the elite, meant to keep the hard-working poor down.
