Dex took quite a risk sending a recognizable and threatening phone video to a guy whose face was on every state (and possibly Federal) BOLO list. He put a lot of faith into Travis’s ability to get from wherever he was to the marina without getting spotted.
In fact, for a city with that many serial killers, Miami is quite laid-back. Wanna bloodstain a statue in a public square? No problem. Wanna set up an elaborate corpse-centered display in broad daylight? Hey, as long as it brings in the tourists…
Not this show in particular, but I have had that happen with other series. Other times I’ve had shows disappear long before the “ends” date arrives. :rolleyes:
Be On LookOut, i.e. the cops are all looking for him, and there’s quite a good chance one will find him with his phone and a video therein of “hey, it’s that blood guy from Homicide.”
I don’t know about you guys but I feel sorry for the character of Jamie, Angel’s sister/Harrison’s babysitter/Dexter’s on-call slave. She might as well adopt Harrison herself because she’s the only person who ever seems to take care of him. It pisses me right off how Dexter always takes advantage of her kindness in looking after his kid while he’s out indulging his “dark passenger” all the time.
The thing Dexter later found out was that Harry was having a relationship with Laura Moser (Dexter’s bio mom), but Harry did not father Dexter. I believe Dexter took a sample from his bio dad in the morgue to prove paternity?? I’m not 100% sure on that, but that whole episode where Dexter travels with Deb and Rudy to clean out his bio dad’s house I distinctly remember there was no room for doubt that the corpse was Dexter’s father. (Dexter also finds out his dad was murdered, but the local M.E. scoffs at/gets insulted by the suggestion.)
I have a terrible memory for this kind of detail especially across seasons (which is why I can rewatch/reread things so easily and they’re almost like new! It’s a feature, not a bug!)
Can you explain the above quotes? I don’t remember Deb and Dex having the same biodad even being a plot point (though with my memory they may have focused a whole episode on it and I still wouldn’t remember :(…) can you jostle my memory just a little?
I remember Deb finding out that his mom was involved with Harry, but I don’t remember Dexter finding this out–how did he? Who was it that turned out to be his real biodad? Was he another guy chainsawed up in the storage box (weren’t there more than one adult in that?)
Sorry for sounding stupid, but I honestly have an almost learning-disability problem with following plot points over seasons very well. For example, I ALWAYS watch the “last week on…” segment before a new episode, and invariably I have and “oh hey! yeah!” moment while watching it. It’s frustrating and it’s embarrassing to admit, but there it is.
There was some question on the bio dad of Dexter during the season where Deb was looking into Harry’s confidential informants and found out Harry had been sleeping with Dex’s mom.
This led to some wonderment as to whether or not Harry was, in fact, Dex’s dad - but the season 1 plot line would indicate this is not the case.
Dex took a blood sample from the guy’s corpse and has his own lab run a comparison between that blood and his own. Remember Deb intercepting the results and having a shitfit that Dex was somehow disrespecting Harry by doing this? And then she told him that oh by the way, the results were a match.
And BTW, Opal, I have that same [del]bug[/del] feature – an SVU from two seasons back? Sure, I don’t remember a damn thing!
