Dexter 9/30/12 Are You...? Spoilers

The Ice Cream Truck Killer. DUM! DUM! DUUUUUHHHHH!

I believe this to be likey.

DUM! DUM! DUUUUUHHHHH!

Hrmmm… The ocean is large. Maybe the killer had planted a GPS in the bracelet, which helped him locate the stripper. And that’s how his body will be found.

I also noticed Dexter didn’t use his usual method of introducing Mister Knife to Mister Chest. Okay, I get that he couldn’t get his knives past security. But if you’re putting a plastic bag over the victim’s head, you’re more than half-way to suffocating him. Bashing with a fire extinguisher is more messy, with a greater chance of leaving blood evidence.

Ever since the other bodies were discovered Dexter has been dumping them in some place where there is an ocean flow that drags them far far away.

I know I’ll be alone in this but for me Deb is to *Dexter *what Tara is to True Blood for most people. I kinda hope Dexter ends up killing her.

Harrison’s babysitter (Angel’s sister) is a real brainiac isn’t she? She tells that techie guy “The more I get to know you the weirder and weirder you get.” and then she just climbs into bed and bids him goodnight. I’d say the odds are pretty good she won’t survive the season.

It’s good to have Dexter back.

City lights are visible when he dumps the cop-killer, so it’s not like he was way out to sea this time.

I was just in a Facebook thread about the show defending poor Deb. I like her a hell of a lot more than Rita. Yes, she’s a total doofus but I like that about her. She’s a klutz, she says f**k a lot and wears her heart on her sleeve. The actress isn’t the greatest but I don’t want him to kill Deb. At least not until the final episode where it might answer the question (speaking for myself) finally whether Dexter is truly a psycopath or was made that way by suggestion (from the dad).

In the bit about the pup, Dexter is showing that he wants Deb to have the pup and doesn’t want to be the cause of her losing it. Seems to be a solid case for empathy that might have gone differently had it been the part of Dexter the dad chose to focus on.

Remember that, in real life, Deb and Dexter were married, but now divorced. And Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is the producer, so I guess we will see how pissed off he is at his ex-wife!

Great episode, and now that Deb knows everything, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I did read that Dexter has been picked up for at least one more season after this one, so who knows what is going to happen this year. It certainly is going to be interesting to see this new dynamic.

Dexter states in the pilot that he doesn’t have feelings but I’ve always viewed that as some unreliable narration. The big question of the show is whether Dexter could have been helped when he started tripping Harry’s creep-o-meter.

Dexter’s carelessness and imprudence WRT airport victim are right in line with what we’ve seen before; when he’s under pressure, Dexter needs to kill to ground himself.

I can see why people find Deb annoying but she’s been my favorite character for a long time. I’m glad they aren’t dragging out the revealing process between her and Dexter. I’m sure they won’t do it but I would happily watch a whole episode of Deb grilling Dexter about the events of previous seasons now that she’s privy to the new shit.

I think its that he didn’t have feelings for other people (except Deb and his father). He was a psychopath.

But they ditched that pretty quickly after the first season.

It’s years too late, but I’d still be extremely happy to witness

Ally McBeal

plastic-wrapped to a table and knifed in the heart.

So she’ll know there’s not much more to life?

I don’t know much about the behind the scenes stuff, but he went through a big cancer thing soon after they got married. I could imagine that putting a huge strain on any new relationship.

Yeah a big part of Dexter’s self image seems to have come from his Dad. Other than the way his Mom died, and that he had started killing some animals, did he have any other reason to believe Dexter would be a sociopathic/psychopathic serial killer?

Oh man, I like anybody more than Rita, though! You can find me in previous Dexter threads wishing for Rita’s death and celebrating it when it came  Just that breathy/lispy way she said his name “Dexxxxshhhter” made my skin crawl!

Beautiful woman, though.

Well, sort of. I know that this isn’t exactly how it happened (thanks to the “titty” chick, as Deb called her) but from Deb’s point of view, how long before she realizes that Dexter murdered an innocent cop and framed him to take the fall for Dexter’s crimes?

Should be right quick, seeing as how Doakes’ big framejob evidence was his little case of blood slides, which Deb just found in Dexter’s AC unit.

I think at least some of it isn’t that Dex truly doesn’t have feelings but that Harry convinced him he didn’t. Haven’t there been times when Dex has told Harry he’s wrong and pointed to Rita and Harrison as counterexamples? Harry just tries to guide Dex back to the dark side.

Just before putting the bag over his head, Victor asked if there was any way he could convince Dexter not to kill him. Dex replied, ‘no’, and he asked him to just get it over with and make it quick.

He was happy to oblige, and grabbed the fire extinguisher.

IMHO, the use of the fire extinguisher was more of Dex’s “you die the way you killed” overall idea of karmic retribution for the innocent.

Which is really going to suck for him when it comes his time.

um yeah; *that * Harry isn’t real(he’s dead), he’s Dexter’s imagination
