Dexter isn’t a police officer, and the “D. Morgan” did refer to Dexter - it’s just that Debrah happened to be living there at the time, and it was a coincidence that they had the same first letter of their first names. The house would’ve been under Rita’s name. It was a plausible way for Trinity to try to find Dexter but fail.

I don’t know how he did eventually find their house, though.

1. Unless someone goes to a fair degree of trouble to hide where they live, it’s not hard to find their address as long as you know their name and maybe one or two other bits of info (like their cell number, for instance.) A hour of work at a library with Internet access and you’re good to go. The phone book seemed like an easy hit but if that failed it wouldn’t be hard to fight the right house with some more work.

2. Just to be picky, because it’s been spelled a lot of different ways, Dexter’s sister’s name is spelled “Debra.”

Gah! I keep hearing more and more about the finale (no details; just adjectives), but since I don’t get Showtime, I wait every year for the season to come out on DVD before I do a mini-marathon of catching up.

But I want to know now!!! GAAAAHHHHH!!!
