Right now there are 10 different SOJ sale messages in the game I’m in, from 18465 to 18481.
While I wait, let me tell you about yesterday’s exploits.
D (on M) and I were in a game when some messages popped up. I guess it was around 10 pm. About an hour later D had killed every boss from Andy up, so I went server hopping until I found another game on the same server. I sold my SOJ in hopes of getting things rolling and to test the “same server” theory. (We did both get the same SOJ sale message in different games on the same server.) D then foolishly left his game to trade that weak Barb torch for a good Sorc torch, and lost the game. So we ended up back in the same game.
I think it was about 2 am before the sale messages started flowing again and Uber D popped.
Since I already have an Anni, D got it to go along with his torch.
In other news: I found a Mara’s amulet (2 to all skills, 5 to all attributes, 25 to all resists). The problem is that my FCR is [40 (HotO) + 30 (ViperMagi) + 34 (Spirit shield) + 20 (Trang-Oul’s gloves)]. For those not good at math, that’s 124, and I believe the breakpoint is 125. My resists are maxed without any ammy at all (but with a couple charms), so I don’t really need the resists or attributes. I’d gladly give this to a more needy character if I could get a good crafted amulet.
To summarize: D (on M)'s MF sorc is pretty much godly, my hammerdin ain’t too shabby either, and Uber D could pop here in the next minute, or not for hours or days.
I’ll be in and out, checking periodically.

Ugh. 10, 17, 5. This is terrible unless you just needs resists.
We have a 6s phase blade somewhere, which is faster and indestructible. I’m not sure what, if anything, a 6s crystal would be useful for. And the smiter has Gores already.
Ugh, a Stone of Jordan is worth a lot more than a fraction of a percent of an anni, and the same server thing didn’t need to be tested further. The people who sell Stones are, first of all, using nonladder ones, and second, sitting on a few dozen games already when they do it.
Some things I found recently:
Ethereal Crown of Thieves (my merc needs the resists from Tal’s helm right now, so it’s there for the taking)
Battle Dart of Life Tap (28/97 charges of lvl 5 Life Tap)
Dwarf Star (I’m already using one)
Unsocketed Ethereal Kurast Shield with 253 def and 38 to all resists. I don’t know if it’s worth keeping, socketing, and making a Spirit, because I’m not sure how durability is affected for Smiters or Hammerdins, etc.
The key count is now something like 7 each for Hate and Terror and 19 for Destruction. Let’s do some Uber runs. When can everybody be on?
Whenever you make a shield block (which is pretty [del]damned[/del]blessed often for a paladin) your shield has a chance to lose some durability, so you wouldn’t want an ethereal Spirit. But the Exile runeword (lots of nice mods, 4 high runes, paladin shields only) has self-repair on it, so that’d be excellent for it. We can either hold onto that until we have the runes ourselves and give it to the smiter, or we can probably sell it for a pretty penny.
And I won’t be available after 8:00 PM EDT tomorrow, nor before about that same time on Thursday, but I can be available for an über run just about any other time, with advance notice.
So we need Vex + Ohm + Ist + Dol for Exile. What we have now are 3 Ums, 2 Mal, 1 Ist and 2 Guls. What would a keyset trade for?
I just got another HoZ from random baddies in Black Marsh.
This might not be the most fantastic sorc weapon ever, but I like it because none of the mods miss. After crafting stuff with FCR and LL, or +Druid Elemental skills and AR, it’s nice to find somethig where all the mods are beneficial.

20% FCR
+19 to Energy
+30 to Live
+34 to Mana
11% Dmg taken goes to mana.
So I put it on my Sorc to try it out (it also only has a lvl 41 req)… and it’s not as good as a generic Spirit sword that she’s holding. Sigh.
Anyway… anyone else planning on playing today?

We have an Exile for the smiter. New plan is for Uber run tonight around 8 pm EST (5 PST).
Well, D and I decided to go ahead and do an Uber run ourselves. Just a hammerdin and the smiter, and only the smiter got shouts. Only Lilith was rough. We were both faded, but I died once during that time and I think I lost my merc once or twice too. Smiter died a few times.
The rest was pretty easy. Gave the smiter shouts and fade again before Tristam. We ran up, circled around, and took out Meph, then Baal, then Diablo. Pit lords didn’t bother me. It all took less than an hour. I think setting up took longer than the actual fighting. Unfortunately all we got was 12, 11 Amazon. We put it on the Keymaster.
What’d we trade for it? And is D aware of the plan?
