I have and have two items that didn’t show up there.
I had that happen once with a rare amulet. It showed up in the completed tab a day later.
I have bought and sold over 100 items from the AH.
The AH is currently broken it seems. It’s now the second from the top headline on this website, which, by the by, is a great place to stay in touch with all the latest developments:
Meh, still not impressed with the lack of customer service. Still no email confirmation and character still stripped. There weren’t any viruses or malware on the computer either, we checked.
So do you. Are you seriously going to argue that changes that make the game more accessible to millions of casual gamers is somehow going to be less popular?
Take an informal polling of everybody you know who has played D2 and D3. How many of them think the changes mentioned make D3 worse than D2? Based on the clans I’ve checked out and even the posters here, my statements seem justified.
Again, I get it. There’s a group of “hardcore” fans who don’t like some of the design choices. There’s no shortage of internet gripe threads here and elsewhere to prove it. But there’s no evidence they form even a significant minority of players.
I ultimately got my bracers, so not too much harm done.
One of my friends got hacked and his account was restored within 24 hours or so.
Yeah, I ended up buying a batch of gems twice, because I didn’t realize that. I figured that it had failed because I didn’t have room in my stash, and chalked it up to a learning experience.
I just tried to buy something on the auction house. The first time it timed out and the second time, after a while, it said it was successful. However it took the money out of my account twice and the item is still not in my ‘completed’ tab. I have lost 1.2 mil.
Edit: Ok, it has returned half my money to me but still no item. Hopefully it will arrive later…
There’s frankly no reason to believe it matters, either.
I played and loved Diablo and Diablo 2. On that basis I bought Diablo 3. If you asked me what the difference was between the two games in skill tree, I honestly couldn’t tell you. I haven’t played D2 in years, and I don’t remember, or really care, what the differences are.
What I DO remember is the general feel, jist, atmosphere and mechanics of the game, which appear to be the same but more modern, which is exactly what I wanted. That’s what Blizzard is selling, and I’m whom they’re selling it to.
I just wanted to add that my item turned up in the completed tab after a couple of hours.
My attack speed is just ridiculous now (2.31), it feels like I’m using a fully automatic blow dart gun!
I’m hoping that in Diablo 4, you don’t have to waste all that time clicking all over the place and they just lay out the payoffs one after another.
The increased difficulty of nightmare is welcome, but sometimes increased difficulty comes from the “you roll a 2. You die” random assfucking variety. I was in act 2 and had a yellow boss with a bunch of swarms of those bees (not the kind that fire stuff at you, but the sort that appear as an insect swarm). The boss had jailer and shield, and the 4-5 swarms with him were molten and vampiric, and I was a barbarian. So the boss kept freezing me in place, while the minions surrounded me and lit the entire ground on fire. And every time I tried to focus the boss, he’d shield, but when I tried to wipe out the minions, I’d die fast and their vampirism kept them pretty healthy. There was nothing I could’ve done with that character to avoid dying a few times.
Furious Charge breaks jailer.
/hc mode.
You know what. Fuck it I lied. This goes in the gripes thread. You know what I’d really like to do right now? Play Diablo3. When I saw the Americas server was under maintenance, I was irked, but, yanno, I can mess around a bit on the Asia or Europe server, it’s all good. Oh, they’re down too? Oh, well it’s not ideal but I guess I can always play single player. Oh, wait…
Yeah, it does suck.
The patch today ruined my game. Same with a friend’s.
When I log in, the game says a patch is available and closes. It reopens to install the patch and says “Diablo III is already running” and closes. Over and over and over.
I guess I needed a good excuse not to play.
Give it a few - it was doing that to me, too, but eventually stopped.
Nevertheless, the servers won’t be up for another couple hours (11am PDT) so it doesn’t matter.
And yeah, I’m with everyone else who thinks it’s stupid that I have to wait for a server to be up in order to play a single-player game.
Try logging out or shutting down your computer, and re-starting. There might be some fragment of executable somewhere that’s still running, and re-starting should clean that out. I don’t know to what extent this is D3’s fault, and to what extent it’s your OS’s, though.
Blizzard does scheduled maintenance on tuesday mornings. They did for WoW, and they apparently do for D3.
