Diablo II Set items -- assistance requested.

I just got back to playing Diablo II after 2-3 years, and I’ve amassed a huge collection of set items which are clogging up my Paladin’s stash and inventory. I’d sell them off, but I’m afraid that they might come in useful as trades. Here’s what I have (from memory):

[ul]
[li]Barbarian’s helm[/li][li]Arcanna’s helm[/li][li]Iratha’s gauntlets[/li][li]Isenhart’s Case (breastplate)[/li][li]Isenhart’s helm[/li][li]Cleglaw’s shield[/li][li]Angelic Sickle (scimitar)[/li][li]Angelic Halo (ring)[/li][li]Arctic belt[/li][li]Civerb’s cudgel[/li][li]Civerb’s amulet[/li][li]Death’s Touch (war sword)[/li][/ul]
I’m pretty sure the Isenhart’s stuff is good, and Death’s Touch has come in handy a few times, but I’m not sure about this rest. Can anyone post a list of set items other players are looking for and/or tell me what I should just sell off?

I’m on the U.S. East server if anyone wants to hang out. Thanks!

Adam

You don’t have anything of value, except to a starting character (and then they’ll have nothing of value to give you for it).

I’d just join some random low level game and drop it all in Act I.

Go to Diabloii.net, to the single-playerforum and download a program called ATMA. It’s considered legit for softcore single-players at least, as it isn’t automatically a cheat. It just allows storing gear in a stash ( or self-muling if you prefer ) and easy transference between characters. You can store reams of junk that way.

Trade-wise all of that stuff is easy to find and low-level, hence probably pretty worthless. However if you ever twink out low-level characters…

A full Barbarian set is a nice low-level twink for axe-barbs of whatever flavor. Isenhart is similarly not that bad for low-level twinking, though low-weapon damage kills it quickly unless you kill some other way. Ditto for the Arctic set. I’m using a full Death set as a low level twink on a FrenzyBarb, though as I’m now into the mid-twenties it may soon be disgarded ( cannot be frozen, IAS and the big cold damage addition relative to level w/the full set that makes the sword worthwhile ).

Clegaw is only useful for the gloves, which frankly could conceivably even be end-gear on some Bowazons ( probably not, but they don’t suck ).

Arcanna and Civerb I have never found terribly useful.

However the Angelic set is a great low-level twink set - maybe the best. The partial set bonuses are great, with +1 skills on the amulet, 100% magic find with two rings, big AR boosts from the rings and a surprisingly decent armor class for the low requirements. Only the weapon is weak, though even it is okay in terms of speed and in a pinch could be useful to a low to mid-level elemental Paladin or the like that wants speed and uses skills for killing. Besides all of the above mentioned bonuses can be gained without the weapon.

So if you are into low-level twinking and don’t mind using ( a tried and true ) third-party program, why not just hang onto them?

If you’ve just started back up, you should play on the USWest Ladder. There is a large group of us doppers over there. We play in game sdmb///cecil or sdmb2, sdmb3, etc.

If you want to join us, you can also msg me ingame. My account is *hirka
We have a bunch of high level characters and 6 accounts full of mules. We would be happy to help anyone from the SDMB.

Here are two sites with set listings. Some of those are pretty common/aren’t so great like Cleglaw’s Sheild and Isenhart’s Case.
