Diamonds, Booze, and a Cruise MMP

Right, she lives in PNW US, from and to which an Alaskan cruise would sail.

T’ain’t the same as would have been getting the Captain to hot-dog Wiki’s (former) island so we can wave to her…

… Then again, we now how it ended the last time someone did that…!

Fingers crossed for the safe arrival of LiLi babies today.

{{}} for those with family issues and injuries.

fcm why did you have to remind me about taxes? With our short sale last year we got our 1099-C in the mail over the weekend that lists a $95K amount that I will be taxed on. Perhaps. Trying to not think about it until the weekend when I start inputting eveything.

65 and sunny here today. This is a weird winter in OK.

I need a vacation…no wait I need booze

The latter is less expensive and likely more accessible - go for it, and pour me one while you’re at it, kthx

I have *got *to get to the grocery store. Things get funky in the fridge after 2 weeks. I was gonna make a ham sammich for lunch, till I touched a slice of the ham. ick. I had to eat a cheese sammich instead.

So lessee, it’s almost 60° and sunny out. I need to don some grubbies, find a bucket, and get out there and wash the Miata. Luckily it’s a small car, so it shouldn’t take too long. And as soon as it’s washed, I need to move it back into the garage so it stays clean. I’ve never driven it before, and the one time I sat in the passenger seat, I hated it. I’ll be so glad when it’s gone. I really hate that car.

My daughter called a bit ago - she got to see the 2 pugs the school secretary is fostering. She wants us to take them. Just what we need - 2 more dogs… Fortunately, **FCD **is in agreement with me on this point.

Good (barely) Morning Working some more on the sty today.
Appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossesd for Lili & babbies.
Blurf, I think I am trying to get a cold.

Ayup. Took a long walk over my lunch break, and enjoyed every second of it.

Ol’ fat Bob needed the exercise. :frowning:

I can think of 2 appendages that need to be uncrossed if she’s gonna sprout today. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not Necessarily.. she’s having a c-section, I think!

Yes, I believe** Li-Li **is having a C-section. I hope the babies are healthy and there isn’t any need for the NICU.

Good grief; I’m tired. I just can’t seem to catch up on my rest.

The Miata is clean - it’s gorgeous outside! If I cared, I’d wash my car, too, but it’s supposed to rain tomorrow and Thurs, so why bother?

The guinea fowl are back, squawking up a storm on my front lawn. Life is good…

Forgot to add: {{{{{LiLi and fambly}}}}}

Attention classmate that is on weight watchers: I did not need to know how many calories you personally burn having sex.

I didn’t think it counted as exercise on PointsPlus

And rosie booze will be coming later. mr ems and I have decided to drink dinner tonight. Work is being ‘trying’ this week.

Got a path cleared in my room, (yeah it’s that bad) Taking a break. [whiny 4 year old]I no wanna be inside workin’ I wanna go outsiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide[/whiny 4 year old]

*fingers crossed for Lili.

Moooooooom, you got the quote! Woohoo!

PhoukaMom should be in TX now, where phoukabro minor will pick her up at the airport, feed her, let her sleep on his fabulously comfy couch (no, seriously, it is the most comfortable couch in the world. I’d rather sleep on it than most beds), and they will head to KS in the morning. Auntie is being buried somewhere in the northeastern corner.

Since I am Computer Girl for the family, it was my duty to book tickets for my mom. Interesting fact: bereavement fares are not discounts. At least not at American Airlines (and Southwest doesn’t even have them). The prices are actually a bit higher, but there’s no penalty for changing time/date of flights. It’s all about the flexibility. Phoukamom was focused on saving money, so after much back and forthing, we settled on a round trip.

Just one problem. With all the clicking, I somehow managed to change the month on the return date. It had her returning on Friday, MARCH 3rd, not Friday, FEBRUARY 2nd. And neither of us noticed it until this morning. So, she had to change her ticket, and she got charged a bundle.

Thankfully, we had agreed that with all the stress of Auntie dying, Dad finding new and interesting ways to sublimate his own stress (he forgot how to double-click to open a file this morning), and finances that we would not shoot, no, shi-, no, that’s not it.

We finally settled on “there will be no shouting, shooting, should-ing, or shitting on anyone”.

My boss is trying to give me a full-blown anxiety attack (although he doesn’t know it.) He’s some stupid tiny peace of land and he doesn’t want to pay the $40 tax on it. He wants me to get rid of it or something. I’m know nothing about any of this, but apparently since going to the courthouse this morning, know more than him. And I can’t find any maps or other info about it on the assessor’s website - apparently the number is too new or something. Kill me.

I am drug free. Thought y’all would want to know that. I learned that today.

Chikin and asparagus casserole for dindin was nummy! Plus, there’s enough left for tomorrow’s dindin. YAY!!!

I’s also tahrd.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Okay. On Mr. Lissar’s netbook, which is a pain for typing, and only home for an hour or so. We’re giving the babies until 35 weeks(Monday), but unfortunately I’m on bedrest at the hospital until the birth, which means no walking and only hospital food or things smuggled in.

Thanks for the prayers and good wishes- updates will be scarce and mostly through my blog.

Lots of prayers and good thoughts headed your way, LiLi. We’ll be waiting with bated breath for updates. Hope you get lots of rest and that the arrival is as routine as possible.

Aren’t people who over-share just teh funnest? So sorry.

Irk was particularly irksome today. Hoping to be more productive tomorrow.

Hugs.

Miata is gone. We now have a shiny new blue Sonata in the garage. I didn’t realize how big the car was till I parked my little Scion next to it. It’s nice, it’s comfy, and we are both very happy. We’re not too adept with bargaining, but we had decided ahead of time that we wouldn’t write a check for more than $8K. After a little back and forth, I told him that, and he said “If we can get you out the door for $7999, will you do it?” We agreed and the deal is done. I hate that part of car buying. Why can’t they just slap on a price and be done with it? Stoopit car buying games.

So we’re finally home. I updated our insurance online, so the car’s all legal. All that remains is to peel the dealer’s sticker off the trunk. I hate when they do that. After spending a pile of money, I resent being a driving billboard.

And that brings Tuesday to an end. Tomorrow, I get to do some grocery shopping. Yay. For now, I need to crawl into bed. Hugs all around, random smoochies, too!
