FWIW, when our first child was born, hubby had no clue how to change a diaper!! Being a reasonably intelligent fellow, he figured it out. By kid number 3, he was a pro!
No sweat, norinew - my first nephew was born when I was 9, my most recent neice was born 5 years ago, and some of my best friends have toddlers, so I’ve effectively been an diaper-changing expert for the last 21 years with frequent refresher courses…
Weeeelllllll… it sure would save time, not having to open all those snaps and then close 'em again

We went to Scotland last month (combination honeymoon/we’re never getting out of the house again) and found the most adorable little baby kilt for the Wattlet, due 4/23/03.
It’s made for a one year old, and I tell ya, this thing is SO precious I just wanna EAT it!

I changed my daughters diaper for the first time since she started eating solids- mashed carrots, potatos, etc…
I thought the first 6 months of diapers were bad enough…now they have true substance.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
But congrats! Everything else about parenthood rocks!

By the way, the baby kilt has already happened for a friend’s baby. We have a good friend who weaves and can weave tartan, and I do some leather working, so between the two of us we created a tiny kilt for a two-year-old, plus an appropriate belt and sporran for him. He was the hit of the wedding his parents attended.

Hey, diapers don’t start to smell until the solid food starts. Breastfed diapers (you know what I mean!) didn’t smell hardly at all.
I just died when I saw that baby kilt link. Where was that when the boys’ nana wanted to spend WAAAAY too much money on them?
