Did Coldfire and Heliose do the deed ?

Congratulations!
Daniel

Hey, I resemble that remark. Although hey, if you every change your minds down the road, the offer stands on this end. I was having creepy paranoid thoughts that you would get stopped at the border because they found wedding rings on you or something, but I’m glad the thoughts didn’t jinx you. Congratulations!

(And sending virtual chicken soup, apparently. Keep up your strength; sounds like you’re going to need it!)

Congrats!

You make a lovely couple. You really lucked out, hooking a babe like Heloise, Coldie! May “for better and for worse” be more better than worse!

That’s a fantastic picture of both of you.

Congratulations!

Heartiest confabulations on your conjugal matrimonification!

I had a startled moment when the picture of the two of you paused in loading, having reached the point just below Heloise’s necklace; I know you Dutch are a free-spirited bunch, after all.

Man, I gotta get broadband.

You are all so cool! Thanks for the congratulations and lovely comments. The next step of the project is getting me into Europe! A.S.A.P. It’s in the 90s this week (Fahrenheit) in Phoenix, and I’m ready to go!

Thank you, London, I was looking for something a little understated, but still nice.

And no, Nametag, no one will be making Coldfire into an Abelard, or they’ll have me to answer to.

Hey, Eva Luna, any chance of getting that soup over here as well? I’ve got the flu or cold or whatever it is, as well, and in this heat, it especially bites!

Gyrate, no, no Betazoid wedding for me, thanks all the same.

Oh, and speaking of beer, Uncle Beer, can you believe he managed to forget a pack of Guinness over here? It’s waiting in the fridge for you, Jasper! You can pick it up at your earliest convenience.

It’s easier for me to fly to Dublin and get an intravenous feed straight outta St. James’ Gate, you know.

My best wishes to both of you! Heloise, gorgeous dress! That’s a beautiful picture of the two of you.

I must have missed something on the boards - did you meet each other here? That would make a great story to tell your grandchildren.

Congratulations again!

Well, my Jewish grandmother would kill me if she knew I was typing this, but to me the best cure for the flu is Vietnamese pho. Recipe:

http://www.gfw.co.uk/recipearchive/recipe0201.html

I’ve never tried cooking it, but if you’re ever in the neighborhood, I live within a 10-minute walk from a great Southeast Asian neighborhood with more great pho places than you can shake a stick at. Unfortunately, I don’t think soup travels well, or I’d send you some.

I’d post my chicken soup recipe, but it isn’t really a recipe. The only requirements are fresh chicken, long, slow simmering, and some or all of the following:

Carrots
Parsnips
Fresh dill
Fresh parsley
Onions
Other veggies (peas at the end, chayote squash if I’m feeling Latin that day, or whatever else is handy)
Whole peppercorns
Salt to taste
A squeeze of lemon or lime, or a dash of chili sauce, is rarely misplaced.

Feel better, both of you!

The owner of my favorite pho place has this broth that he’ll dope up with all sorts of spices and stuff for you if you have a cold. Clears the sinuses like nothing else, and it tastes great on top of it. And regular pho can probably cure cancer and raise the dead. Now I’m hungry!

Hey Coldfire!

When you were in Prescott and Sedona, did you wish you had you bike? Did you get a good look at Highway 89 and the surrounding roads?

I spent a few days in that area with my RZ350. Put quite a few miles on it that week. It rained some, but always cleared up enough for some serious riding. One of the few places and times I ground down the footpegs. Good off-road trail all over the place, too.

Congrats on the nuptials!

Congrats to the lucky couple!
You are a lucky man Coldfire, you have one stunning bride there.

Best of luck in your future together.

That’s okay. My belts seem to have gotten a bit shorter in the past couple years, too.

This is the second time a Dopefest I attended has resulted in a marriage. First Shayna and Spiny and now the two of you.

Anyway -

Congrats you two!!! You make a gorgeous bride and groom!!!

Heloise, you made a beautiful bride! Congratulations to both of you!

Congratulations to the newlyweds! Heloise looks absolutely stunning in her gown and Coldfire looks very handsome, as well. However, I still think that Coldfire has a baby face and looks like a high school sophomore and that Heloise is robbing the cradle!

Well, I wasn’t thinking of THAT part; nor do I think the monastic life would suit either of you.

Still, it’d’ve been a pleasing symmetry. Or something.

medstar, you sure know how to flatter. Highschool sophomore? That’s not a bad compliment at 31. Funny thing is, in reality, it’s Heloise who looks much younger than me. Most people guess she’s in her mid twenties, and truthfully, she doesn’t look a day over 25. Me, I’ve looked over 30 since I was 18. But aparently only from relatively closeby.

gatopescado, we pretty much took highway 89 from Flagstaff down to Prescott. Taking it leisurely, with a stopover in Sedona.
But man, what a gorgeous road! You can ask Heloise to verify this, but yes, many a time I wished out loud I was on a motorbike! Oh well, it’s still a fun road to drive, even in a RAV4 automatic.

UncleBeer: I know you’ve been losing your original shape, and that’s OK. But I’m young, dammit!

Congratulations, both of you! Heloise is absolutely stunning!

Hey, slight hijack, Heloise…whatever happened to your mom’s friend who was mistaking the hand towels for toilet paper?

Crikey, Coldfire - she’s beautiful and she does Star Trek jokes? You mods get all the breaks.
