I was watching some Hulu and then I had to stop the video. I also closed the window. Now that I’m trying to go back to it I keep getting a cannot connect message.
Is this happening to anyone else?

“Down for everyone” is a pretty handy website for just such an occasion. They say Hulu is up.
That’s not very useful. All it does is issue an HTTP HEAD request to whatever you type in (I just tested it on my own server.) That’s completely useless for a site that may be responding to HTTP requests but whose backend is not functioning.
As for Hulu, it’s working fine for me right now.

Hey since this thread is overly specific and quickly resolved, let’s just talk about how awesome Hulu is!
Seriously, I hardly ever actually watch shows on TV, i only want to purchase a select few on itunes, and I don’t want to endanger my computer or morals by stealing, so Hulu is quite the godsend! Without it I’d have to wait many months to rent the DVDs of so many shows (Family Guy, Dollhouse, The Office, etc…)
Also, does anyone know how well the business model is working and how profitable this is for the networks? Cause I want more shows in this convenient form!
I’ve had similar issues, which have been solved by one of the following:
- Close all browser windows, reopen, and navigate to the video you want.
- Reboot PC.
I think it has something to do with flash not working properly, rather than the website. I often get flash errors, saying that there is some sort of an issue causing a script to run slowly. I usually reply “no” to the question asking me if I wanted to abort the script, and it continues normally.
